It's like Dr. Seuss had a health conscious baby-Love it!
This is a cute little book brilliantly written to both capture a child's attention and prompt an interest in healthful eating. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to get a jump start on teaching a child the good and bad that comes with your food choices. Though the child on the cover, who looks a lot like Michael Jackson in more than one drawing, (Irrelevant, but interesting & entertaining for me...) is an adolescent, the age range that would truly get something from this little story is children from about age 3-7 years old. It's short and sweet, and it totally rhymes like Cat in the Hat! Apparently it's good entertainment for those over 30 also......

Great read !
What a wonderful book!!! Conveys message of the value of making healthy food choices in a clear and age appropriate way. Funny and entertaining. I knew it was a winner when my niece could not wait to tell the story to her friends.

Not What I Expected from the Reviews...
This wasn't what I expected from the reviews.-The rhyming is Seuss-esque (and probably has a similar age range of preschool-early elementary) but I found many of the rhymes to be awkward and did not read out well-The pictures are just okay. The cover is representative of the pictures in the book.-75% of the book talks about the bad choice of meal that the boy wanted to eat and does eat (cake, soda, potato chips) and how his body reacts to it (stomach hurts, feels tired, etc...) This is not a bad idea but healthy food is barely touched on here. There is a very small picture of vegetables and the street you see on the cover. There is a lot of science that shows that our brains don't register "not" for example "I am not going to eat sweets today." Your subconscious brain actually only focuses on the subject of the sentence "eat sweets today." I would have much preferred to see AT LEAST as much emphasis on healthy foods if not more.-There is another gripe for me. The healthy food is listed as vegetables, fruits, and lean healthy proteins. For the age group this book is for there are not any examples at their level (however there are concrete examples of unhealthy food: cake, soda, chips... even describing how crunchy the chips are etc.) Also what does lean healthy protein mean? I'm assuming the author was trying to be sensitive to different eating styles here or is a vegan and does not feel comfortable writing about protein sources. Either way, "lean healthy protein" means nothing to a four year old. I would have preferred for the book to take some kind of stand and let me decide if it fit my family or not.Overall this book is cute and has a great idea (connecting how you feel with what you eat), but it missed the mark for us.

For very young kids only
Not at all what I hoped for. For extremely young kids. Waste of almost $8.00 for kids 8 and older. Sometimes reviewing a book in person is best.

What all kids need to know sooner than later
A great read aloud book. Turning kids and adults on to healthy eating in a very delightful way. It made me focus on how I feel after eating all food and less on food favorites. A must read for all.
