Katie has written and illustrated a very creative, insightful work of art for all ages, allowing the heart to remember always that it soars ultimately when imagining, when we dream, when we hope, when we create, and when we go beyond the norm of what is....the story allows our escape to grow fully in ways not presented in the everyday, and gives us thoughtful beauty beyond the every day of our daily lives. The illustrations of fanciful color and beauty and the story for taking us away to another much loved and hopeful place in life, give us a hopefulness for our lives caught in the now of reality. What a great contribution to literature for all children and adults. Purchased as a gift for a child named Claire with a pair of magic wings. I just wished it was a hardback book.

I bought this book for my great niece who is only 1 1/2 years old. I know that as she goes older and continues to read and re-read this wonderful story she will treasure it!! Every child should believe in their hearts that magic exists, so the timeless message that magic is real and comes in many different forms is such an amazing lesson!! The wonderful message and beautifully illustrated book is a must have for every child!

I bought this book as a baby shower gift and absolutely love it. It is wildly imaginative and is a great story for children and adults alike. It reminds us of the power of imagination and the importance of following your dreams. The illustrations are beautiful as well. When I have children this will be a staple in their book collection!

Wonderfully written story with great illustrations. My favorite thing about this book though is it message of magic being everywhere. Magic isn't just fairies and unicorns but showing kindness to others, including others, standing up for others. Great message for kids and adults alike!

A beautifully crafted story with exquisite description and voice. My students adore visualizing the story but also can't get enough of the illustrations. I plan to use this text for an inspirational story for my students or a mentor text during writing lessons about description.

Amazingly well crafted story, positive and uplifting message, and clean-quirky-colorful and playful design/illustration style. Overall, a fantastic and wonderful journey. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a great story.
