YUBISAHI mini JAPAN (YUBISASHI'The Original 'POINT-AND-SPEAK' Phrasebook)

I spent several years studying/living in Japan and have a fairly good grasp of the language; however, having been away for the better part of 5 years, I knew my Japanese skills had suffered greatly. I brought this phrasebook with me for my most recent trip and was glad I did. I brushed up on common words/phrases on the flights so, by the time I arrived, was pretty confident in my ability to communicate. During the few times I did stumble or could not convey an important point, it was very quick & easy to locate the appropriate section in this book. I also experienced a major issue with my passport near the end of my trip and, because of easy reference phrases in the book, I was able to resolve the situation in rapid fashion. I will be packing this handy little insurance policy in my bag for subsequent trips to Japan.

This is probably the most helpful little translation book ever. It was incredibly useful, my girlfriend use it throughout the trip and she was able to get around, if pronunciations were difficult she would just point at the pictures and people would understand as well as clearly love it and find it cute. We also lent it to a friend on his trip and he agreed it was the best thing and made the trip so much easier. Would love if it came in other languages, but its the perfect companion for a trip to Japan.

Book is smaller than expected (that's on me), but the pictures and pronunciations appear to be very helpful. I'm going to try to speak some Japanese, but it's nice that I'll have this book to lean on should my efforts be disastrous.

Lightweight (as you need to be in Japan), very well organized, and practical! Easy to pronounce words fairly just from the guide alone, a must!!

More than helpful on a recent trip to Japan. Was able to see phrases and communicate better then without it.Would recommend this book for a basic understanding of the language.

El librito por su tamaño es conveniente para el viajero, pues es compacto y viene dividido en tópicos, para encontrar facilmente la situación en la que se encuentra.en las ultimas paginas trae una hojas para que hagas tus tarjetas de ayuda rápida ademas de la denominación de la moneda (monedas y billetes)Casi todo viene ilustrado, al ser la version mini, siento (pues no he visto la version completa) que le falta para situaciones especificas que tienen altas posibilidades de pasar en el viaje.En si creo que este libro con un curso básico de japones, ayudara al viajero a sobrevivir sin problemas a Japón. Pues si bien el ingles es el lenguaje internacional allá se resisten aun a hablarlo.

Una guia muy util. Tamaño compacto de viaje. Lo puedes usar en todas la situaciones de tu viaje a Japon. Yo la use muchas veces. Señalas una frase y luego te pueden contestar señalando otra en ingles. Contiene los numeros y señalizaciones. Todo lo imprescindible.
