perfect for Army cadets
Tween age MamaMoomin as recently joined our local Army Cadets, and as asked to purchase these as part of the uniform. He's very small for his age, and is currently in a shoe size UK 1, but the smallest these come in is a UK 3. I spoke to his sergeant (who also happens to be our next door neighbour!) and she informed us that these do come up quite small, so we bit the bullet and got the size 3. They arrived promptly, and Tween tried them on. They are a little large, but nothing that can't be resolved by pinching a pair of Mr MamaMoomin's thick socks. The are well made, quite heavy and quite still - they are going to take him a while to break in, but he has plenty of time since he still needs to grow in to them!

Potentially Serious Quality Issue Combat Patrol Boot
Worn the boots for the first time this weekend and very comfortable not had to polish them yet. Went to put them on again and noticed leather surface at crease near front end of the boot was breaking up and coating coming off. Very disappointed with quality of boot and strange that only one of the boots is affected. I have just tried to return boot and caption says cannot return as needed to return by 19th April and I have been unable to contact seller. Brown Army Leather Combat Patrol Boots Cadets Military Work Security (9 UK) All I want is pair of serviceable boots and will accept a replacement pair. I will now try the second pair of boots I purchased at the same time but if they go the same If they go the same way I want a full refund and not a replacement pair.

Not bad not great
My feet are not shaped correctly so I get through 1 pair of shoes every 3 months. These are dying after 2. That is not normal even for me. I "walk" significantly less than 30 miles a month, in fact at 30 miles a month I'd be proud of myself for achieving that. These are dead already but hey that is why you get cheap boots

Poor quality. wore out very quickly.
I was initially very happy with these boots however within a few weeks of use the insoles had collapsed into the sole which was hollow, and the base of the sole had worn down through walking. the sole was so thin in parts that it wore through very quickly and was unusable. I would expect to get more than 3 or 4 weeks of use out of a pair of boots. the join between the padded upper and the leather upper wore through also. They have now been binned.

Good boot
Comfy. Sturdy. Happy me.Have scuffed mine a fair bit already. Tidys up as expected with some love and polish though.About 8 months after buying they're not showing any deterioration (apart from me scuffing them). So fingers crossed they'll last a long while.

Happy but quality on bigger sizes is lacking
Ordered 2 for kids. Size 5 and size 9. Does the job but bigger size looked a bit scruffy round edges with pink glue on show. For younger ones I’d have gone for side zip up ones but that’s more personal preference. Ordered usual sizes and they fit well

Order one or two sizes up.
Boots grip well and are warm, but I ordered a size up from usual as recommended by other reviews and they're still a bit small. The manufacturer should probably rethink their sizing.

Not a good boot
The best that can be said is that they fit okay. These are supposed to compete with the likes of Magnum... not a chance; these are a fashion boot at best, the insole is far too thin and does not support your instep. Save up and buy the real thing.
