Easy to put on, secure during use, light weight but tough.
These boots are perfect for my old friend who has suffered from a meniscus tear that can not, due to complications, be repaired. His back foot now drags on the toenails when we take our walks and they are wearing down faster than they can regrow. These boots work great at keeping him from going through the quick. I'm happy that I could find a set of two in the right size for his feet. Easy to put on, secure during use, light weight but tough. Great product.

Improved sole design
My dog has been wearing Ruffwear shoes for about five years. I've purchased a few varieties for him (mesh for hot weather, some fabric ones for regular daily use). Unfortunately his daily use shoes seem to have been discontinued, since they're perpetually our of stock. We're trying out this newer model as a daily shoe, and it has pros and cons. One pro is the way the sole is molded; it comes up higher around the foot, which makes for a more durable build. We had some sole separation issues on his last pair of daily use shoes, so I'm pleased with this change. A con, however, is that they don't seem to be very water resistant; few dog shoes are unless they're heavily rubberized, so I wasn't surprised by this. My dog has dewclaws on his front legs, but we've been lucky enough with Ruffwear that every model he's worn has sat below the dewclaw. For added comfort and to help keep the shoes on, he wears socks (nothing fancy; literally cotton socks marketed for newborn babies). For best results if you're trying to train your dog to wear shoes, start by measuring them and following the sizing chart. They may need two different sizes for their front and back feet, which is why quality dog shoes are generally sold in pairs instead of sets of four. Consider whether your dog has a dewclaw and where the shoe will sit (every dog is different!) Try socks if the shoes seem to be working well but fall off often. Last but not least, praise and reward your dog for accepting the shoes for however long they manage to keep them on. One day, your best bud might be like my little guy, who loves his shoes because they make him feel like he has heat-proof, grippy, super-powered toes.

KINDVE A SHAM
They might DESIGN or whatever else in the USA, but MANUFACTURE these shoes in CHINA.. ie LOW COSTS. BUT they still charge 35 freakin dollars FOR TWO SHOES! WHAT DOG NEEDS 2 SHOES! They charge this astronomically high price WHILE THEYRE MADE IN CHINA! They charge for 2 shoes so its more palatable? Theyll be the first with a "valid" excuse as to why they do that as well. IMAGINE they said "YOU CAN HAVE SHOES MADE IN CHINA ALL FOR THE PRICE OF 70 DOLLARS! Talk about NO SALE!

2 boots
My dog has four legs. Would have been great to know these were sold as a pair before hand.

Only a pack of 2
This is only a pack of 2 booties. I didn't read the fine print until they arrived and I thought I was missing 2 boots. In any case, they are great quality. Ruffwear is a solid brand for any dog gear.

Great shoes!
They only come in sets of 2 because the front and back paws are often different sizes. Furthermore.. I order 2 different colors so I can tell which go on front and which go on back. If your dog's paw is wider than the ankle.. they do pretty well. Had and still have first set.. been 2 years+.. only one feel off one time in the beginning.. before we found the right tightness. There is a tag on the inside of the tighten strap.. that I remove. The tag might keep the strap from completely tightening which may cause them to slip off.. Can't go too tight or it is bad for paws. This is our 2nd set.. The same size and quality as before. Going to break them in local before traveling. My dog is a service dog and the ground gets very hot where we are. She wears her shoes daily for work. She is trained to leave them alone and not kick them off or put them in her mouth.. I am conscious about checking and counting them. I don't ever have issues.

They stay on so so
My dog has a pretty standard shaped foot, but these don't fit great. They are straight without an angle or shape so when the dog stands or walks the front is all wrinkled and the back gapes (tightening the strap doesn't help). They don't stay on great. Some walks they'll stay on the whole time and other times no amount of adjusting helps they just constantly fall off. If the dog is pulling at all they'll fall off eventually. You have to constantly watch for them flying off and £45 worth of dog boots getting left behind. I dont think the fit is better than the cheap ones, but the materials and construction (not design) are good and obviously superior. They are very expensive and not sure they are worth it in my opinion.
