Wire direct to battery
Great product, large bright screen, easy to use. Had to wire directly to the battery. Would not operate wiring into the fuse block.

The media could not be loaded. Its oversized to fit large displays .. mine is 8 inches with a 3 inch hard sun visor and it is large when loose .. but pull the draw string tight and its weather proof and cinched snug. I know fish finders are supposed to be weather proof but I have an old Bottomline tournament champion on my boat because I like how it displays bait fish schools on the great lakes .. I have a gen 4 helix 7 as well but humminbird bought bottomline late 90s and became better for it. Dont want to risk the unit's water proofness on a 30 year old unit when caught out in a rain storm. Its not made anymore.

It's a good cover.
I actually bought this for a backup camera setup on my tractor. The camera sits on top of the hood of the tractor and has no protection from the weather and bird crap when I'm not using the tractor. It works fine for that. It's a little bit too big for my monitor but it gets the job done.
