There’s nothing like citronella candles for keeping pesky flying critters away when you’re trying to have a barbie. These smell wonderful and are the perfect size, and as there are 12 they can be spread all around the table or patio. The volume of wax is about the same as two small tea lights, so they should last probably a couple of evenings - and their cute little ‘bucket’ holders look really attractive too!

A nice set of 12 citronella candles that come in a quality box making this giftable, we found 1 candle wasn't giving off quite enough fragrance to keep the flies away when sitting outside but 2 were, on one table, these little buckets are so cute, they are metal, 2" diameter at top, 1.5" across bottom and close to 2" high, the candle inside is about 1.3cm from the top, so no wax burning and running down the sides on to surfaces, after burning for 5 hours the candles only went down by 1cm, apart from being an insect repellent these candle are cosey and the fragrance is gentle not pungent. Empty buckets come in handy for crafting etc.

I really like these. Very funky little bucket candles that work really well and smell nice too. Hopefully they'll also keep the flies away.They arrive in a box so there is no chance of damage to any of the candles. I would guess the burn time will be around 8 hours or so given the size which is great for an evening outside.Happy to recommend.

These citronella outdoor candles are made with 95 per cent soya oil-based wax and five per cent essential oil. The come packed in a box of twelve and when you open up the box, you get a beautiful whiff of lemon. Each one of these candles has two ounces of wax and this sits in a metal pot with seams that are folded over in the same way as those you find on tin cans. The pots measure 52mm diameter at the top and 41mm diameter at the bottom with a height of 53mm.At five percent citronella, there is a lot of essential oil in the wax. However, the way of getting it into the air is to burn the wax and as the citronella is far more volatile than the wax, almost all of it burns in the flame with the wax - you get the strongest scent just after you blow out the flame where you have vaporised oil and that is not getting burned.Normally, outdoor candles have at least three wicks which lets them vaporise quite a bit of oil because outside is not a confined space so it tends to blow away. Here, for outside use, the pots are relatively tiny and there is hardly any noticeable scent while they are lit. The size of these candles makes them more suited to indoor use.

These little buckets look really cute. They’d look very stylish out on tables in the garden on a summer evening (just when the biting bugs like to make an appearance!).They smell strongly of citronella. I can’t say how well they keep bugs away yet as it’s not been the best weather and the bugs have yet to make an appearance, but I will certainly be having them outside in the summer (and will make sure to take some camping too).Good value. Recommended!

This pack of candels are really cute design I absolutely love them.Came as a pack of 12 piece all have amazing scent and do last quite long .Came packed in.a plain paper box not too bad.When I reviewed price was about £11 good value definitely would buy again if needed or as a gift.

I received a pack of 12 citronella candles in this pack. The candles are very well made and are of a decent size. Each candle comes in a metal pot as well. The candles give off a lovely scent plus the flame is protected by the rims of the pot. They work well in keeping the insects, flies, and bugs at bay when we enjoy our evenings in the garden
