They work well, but I do wish I had bought bigger ones. The screens fit very tight and a couple of times I have had them fall out because they were not pushed in all the way.

Well I raise mealworms for our breaded dragon. And I need to separate the eggs from the beetles or they eat them but I also want the bran to pass through. This worked for exactly what I needed.

I have a larger sifter that fits into a 5 gallon bucket. That has a 1/4" mesh (6mm). I use that when I've got a lot of sifting to do, like when I'm preparing a lot of potting mix.I got this smaller sifter for smaller jobs and I really like it - let me tell you why:* Fits Into a 2 Gallon Bucket - I sometimes want to just do a small quantity right in the garden and this will be perfect for that.* Very Well Made - Strong, sturdy stainless steel construction. Also, the different screens "snap" into the ring, easily, but are held in place tightly.* The Screens - These are not just some sort of "mesh", they are "special" in that the wire has kinks in it to provide better sifting. The kinks create ridges and valleys that facilitate the screening action.This is an easy 5 Star product for me. One last comment - I got the model with the 5 screens and would have been just as happy with the 3 screen model. The finest screen is finer than I will ever need and the really coarse screen is more coarse than I would need.

Since receiving this nifty steel soil sifter we've already used it several times. It disappeared off the counter and I then discovered my husband had run off with it, using a fine screen to dry some of our jalapeno Megatron hot peppers. The next day I swiped it back (leaving the one screen with the drying seeds on the counter) to help me plant some fine garden herbs. My method which worked beautifully with this sifter: I screened out pebbles from our compost pile, mixed the resulting compost with peat moss, perlite, and super-fine oregano seeds, then distributed a thin layer over a prepared raised bed. With so many different screens to choose from I'll be using this soil sifter for planting seeds for the rest of this summer, and know this new essential will last for many years to come.

We make some bath fizzies, and this does an excellent job of removing the clumps for a consistent product. It is simple - well constructed circular sifter with interchangeable screens, making it easy to clean and able to be stored in smaller spaces. Screens simply snap into place based on what you need, but usually we keep the 'middle' screen in use for our needs. Our different materials don't stick on the metal, and it quickly removes what we don't want. What more could you ask for?I would highly recommend the Soil Sifter Garden Soil Sieve Stainless Steel Sieve Set (even if it isn't for gardening)!

This sifter makes getting a consistent particle size so amazingly easy, I love it! It appears to be all stainless steel, and the construction is good enough to last for years.

I really needed this sieve to help separate the small rocks out of the bags of play sand. This sieve comes with 3 separate size filters. For my use, the 3mm size eliminates all the undesirables from the sand. What left is a very smooth sand....it's amazing how many larger sized pebbles are in a bag of "sand". The total package looks to me like it's very well built and will last for years in a household type environment. Everything is stainless steel and looks terrific.

Pleasantly surprised how well this works. I need to sift rocks and other unnecessary things out of the soil in the yard. It’s made of stainless steel and really sturdy. It’s great that it comes with 5 different hole sized mesh screens because there are different sized rocks in my yard.
