Won’t stay up.
Bought this as a gift for a pitch in TOMORROW. Like an idiot I didn’t take them out of the box until today. I was putting batteries in when I thought I’d check one out. Two went up one tier (and could not get them back down) two wouldn’t stay at all. Tried to find out how to scan the manual from my Amazon app but everything I found told me to open things that don’t exist (at least on my app). Like “open the camera at the top of the app” there is no camera. For 20 minutes I was looking for all sorts of things. If there is a scanner it shouldn’t be that hard to find. So I went to the troubleshooting area of this product (you have to start a return to find this) all the info and videos were for electric bug zappers, nothing about this item. Anyway, really wanted to gift this but I’m out of time and steam so returning. I got the silver, can’t speak to the black.

only 1/2 worked
I bought these for a picnic to keep flies away two of the towers stood up and worked and on two towers the top part would not stay up so the fan would not work. The fan is VERY slow.

Suck!
I bought these for my outdoor parties.. My sister-in-law has loaned me hers before and I bought all fans were the same.. How wrong was I..These fans looked nice and that’s where it ended.. The base would not extend properly to latch; no matter how hard we tried.. My husband had to jam it with a dime to keep it from falling back down.. Because it’s not straight, the fan constantly stopped and deemed useless..I wish I never bought these, and no, I won’t recommend them to anyone..

Skeptical of the positive reviews
So these are collapsible - for sure. Not necessarily a positive as they like to actual collapse. It’s difficult to get them not to collapse-actually had to bend the thing. See photo.Am I the only one really annoyed at foreign companies (Chinese) that refuse to pay someone who knows English to review/edit directions? The directions come with this warning: thus product cannot shrink after stretching. Violent contraction will damage this product.I’m not exactly sure how to interpret that incredibly bad English. I think maybe it is saying don’t try to collapse for storage after extending it?

Oh These Gadgets Work
I purchased 4 fans after having them at our table in a restaurant. No fly dared land.I bought one for each friend at our next card game.

Complete waste of time
Defective. Broke within 1 minute of unpacking. “Towers” do not stand up after telescoping. If only I could give it zero stars.
