🌟
This little multi tool is probably one of the best purchases you can make. It offers the more versatility than you would think. From something as simple as sanding or help with something as much as cutting into a wall that a regular sawzall couldn’t assist with (depending the material that is).Great value esp for the moneyIt is definitely lighter than other ones I’ve used- i have used the Rockwell and dremel is lighter and smaller. It fits great in my hand (woman hand lol), nice sleek lookIt’s quick and easy to set up. Not as dangerous, and easier to transition from different bits. With this product you just have to push down the button and turn it to lock and unlock it; with others I’ve used it is much more complicated and takes more time.

Hope it holds up!
I got this to replace an older Multi-Max that broke the internal shaft. When I took that one apart, I was kind of disappointed in the internals (some cast zinc parts that just broke under heavy prolonged loading). I'm planning to use more care with this one. These things don't seem to have an overhead shut-off and I kind of wish they did (I'm sure the motor has some protection but not the tool as a whole).Anyway, so far, so good! I appreciated some of the design tweaks that they make each generation. Holding and handling this one is easier than my older tool.

It's very strong.
This tool powered through wood in a way my cordless oscillating tool does not. I'll generally prefer this one to the cordless if I am in a place where I can plug in, because it will require so much less patience to accomplish a job. There, that's the review, it's a fine tool from a great namebrand at a very reasonable price. The following are less important details. The weak point on this model has been reported as the on/off switch failing. I don't have long term usage experience, but the switch on mine had a good solid feel to it, better than another tool I have with a similar switch, so maybe Dremel has corrected this known issue. To use this tool you are locked into their blades. They supply one cutting blade and one sanding attachment with several pieces of hook and loop sandpaper. The chuck is slightly smaller than the regular universal chuck size, so a universal blade will fit completely over the locking plate of the chuck. It can't be locked on. They just fall off.The Dremel blades have a smaller radius opening around the shaft and they work great on the Dremel chuck, in fact better than the chuck on my other oscillating tool. The chuck is crucial, because the tool's oscillation provides quite a challenge in keeping the blades on, and so various manufacturers have different approaches to this difficult problem with oscillating tools. I like the Dremel system, but it's frustrating because if they had only made it a bit larger with everything else the same, I could use all my existing blades with this tool. Now I will need to get Dremel blades for it (beyond the two that are supplied in the kit). At least the hook and loop sandpapers from my other tool should hook into the velcro on the Dremel sanding attachment! The instructions are well written and helpful. There is some instruction on how to accomplish sanding with the tool, keeping it flat.

Great mulit-use tool
This has been a great tool to have and I would highly recommend everyone have one as they are just so versatile.Comes with different attachments depending on what your project is. We have used it to cut small objects and to shave the bottom of a door that wouldn't close over a rug.It is heavy duty enough to perform the tasks needed but not so heavy as to become heavy in your hand while doing those projects. It is strong and we really love having it.

It’s OK
They the manufacture changed the locking lever to a dial for locking the blade in place. Why! It doesn’t make it any easier, just opposite. The lever worked just fine.

Good tool, easy to use
I got this because I am building a deck, and one of the things I have to do is trim off the ends of the boards. Mostly, I do this with a track saw, but there are spots where the track saw doesn't fit, so I got this to finish off those bits. I actually already had a similar tool, but it was from the super-cheap tool store and didn't really work. This did the job nicely. It took me a a minute to figure out the attachment installation - the icons kinda made it look like it was a three position knob, left to unlock, right to lock. That didn't hold it place when I turned it on, and I realized I just had to tighten the knob several turns until it held things in place. Easy enough. I haven't used the sanding attachments yet, but the saw did the job nicely, and I suspect this one is easily going to outlast the cheap one.

Great!
This is a great tool for making precise cuts - like cutting trim that's on a wall with minimal damage to the wall to patch later. It's easy enough to hold and the included blades worked great! I was able to figure out how to switch tools without any issues and it was ought weight enough to be maneuvered into place. The cord is maybe a touch short and you might want an extension cord, depending in how far away the nearest outlet is. The fact that it's plug in instead of battery would probably come into play on tougher jobs but for trim, I don't think it would matter much. And plug in means that even though my other tools aren't the same brand, I still don't have any battery compatibility issues which is great for tools that aren't used as often.
