Decent adult-size medical mittens
I ordered these for an elderly relative who suffers from dementia and has started pulling off his oxygen mask or cannula, depending on which he's wearing. I had expected mittens similar to the ones I've seen used in hospitals for the same purpose. The ones I ordered are different, but still effective for this purpose. The hospital mittens I'm used to seeing are well padded, very thick, and prevent the wearer from grabbing anything with his hands. The Wondsighin medical restraint mittens seem to be high quality, are thinner, and have rigid plastic to keep the wearer from making a fist and grabbing items. With my elderly relative, it works well. The mittens are a very good fit on his hands. They tighten around his wrist with a webbed strap and buckle, and I've not known him to be able to get them off. He does not seem to get agitated by wearing them, so the extra padding I was expecting isn't needed. So far, we haven't needed to use the longer straps to restrain his hands. In fact, we only use the mitts when he's going to be alone in his bed for some minutes and we're worried about his oxygen tubing/mask.I can where these mittens may not work well for everyone - if the wearer has smaller (or larger) hands or if they're more aware and actively try to remove them. In our situation, though, they are very helpful.

Absolutely worthless DO NOT BUY
They are TINY. They are also horrible quality. The way to take them off and on is so poor that I can’t believe they seek them. I am returning these now.

Decent construction, but doesn't work as well as hoped
These are nice restraint mitts, but they are not working as well for us as hoped. The material is nice, and they are light weight. The inside of the glove has a finger loop to keep the hand in place, and has a plastic plate for rigidity. There are two straps, a short one to tighten around the wrist and a longer one to "attach" to a chair arm or bed frame. The issue we are having is getting them on a patient while he is in a relaxed state, otherwise it is a struggle getting the hand in place or the wrist strap tightened. Once on, there is a lot of room in the mitt that the hand can still be "fisted" and balled up. The strap around the wrist is also slippery, so can loosen somewhat easily. If you then don't have the whole hand restrained to a chair arm, our patient will put the mitt in his mouth and pull hist hand out with a couple of tries. We are still hoping to find a better use for these mitts. Maybe change the way we have the straps attached, but we don't want to make anything to tight for fear of additional injury.

Mitts were very effective with elderly parent removing clothing constantly
These mitts were very effective with my elderly parent who was constantly removing clothing. The mitts are soft and light weight but seem to work really well once placed on my parent, eliminating their ability to remove their clothes. If in a wheelchair, I found the ties on the mitts worked great at keeping my parent from interfering with the movement of the wheelchair.

Too Big To Prevent Fisting
These may be OK as just a restraint or to prevent scratching but they are too big to prevent the patient from fisting inside of them.
