Works nicely and holds a variety of tablets. I use it with a few different sized iPads. Doesn’t work the best when they are in an Otterbox style rugged case. Has trouble getting a good grip on one of the sides.

I bought another that claimed to be 12 inches. This holds an iPad vertically and horizontally. There is no slippage. It is plastic, but I have no complaints so far. The price is unbeatable, especially when you compare it to the metal ones.

This is a fantastic, well-built, tablet mount.It has threaded standard size mounting holes on the back and on the bottom. The portion with the ball joint locks very well and has a rubberized ring to retreat back up to the mount to especially secure the connection. I could see the portion at the bottom of the ball joint as a possible weak spot, as there is just a bolt present in the plastic and not secured other than friction from locking the ball joint down. But it held up quite well for me.I actually bought a small desktop mic stand to attach it to, which is working perfectly for my purposes. (see pic).My only complaint is that when you put a tablet in that is large enough to need the arms extended any, the spring which keeps the two halves tight can become noisy and tapping on the screen of your tablet (I'm using this for music, so LOTS of tapping) will cause the spring to bang around. I would much prefer a locking mechanism. The spring could also wear out or lose it's resistance over tiime, but it has good hold now.Overall, I think this is excellent and at a fantastic price.

This is a simple spring-loaded clip mount for an ipad or other tablet that attaches to an existing tripod. It holds well and has two mounting points - one for vertical mounting and the other for back of the tablet mounting. The one at the back is probably what I would recommend for most uses, as the other one feels just a touch unstable with the weight of the tablet but you can position the tablet vertically from that mounting point as well with the included ball head.The setup uses standard mounting screws so you can also attach the mount to an existing tripod head.While you can also use this with a phone, you will have to mount the phone vertically in the clamp, which will block the camera on most phones. For me, I'm mostly using this for recording or projecting videos from my ipad so that would not work. Your mileage may vary depending on the intended use.
