Works well for bicylclists
I had the unfortunate experience of being chased by a lab/pit mix this morning on my bike ride. The good news is that this thing worked but it took a couple of zaps. The dog ran out from the side of house and I zapped it once at about 30 feet away but it kept barking and coming. Then I held the "deterrent" mode" button down and now it was about 10 feet away and shouted at the dog "NO!". The dog got confused and slowed down (didn't stop) but got flustered and by that time I was several yards in front of it pedaling on my bike before the dog quit chasing.So the PROS: It is lightweight and has wrist carrier and is easily rechargeable. The lock and slide button are easy to handle with one hand - useful when you are riding a bike.CONS: Not so much a con but be aware that this is just a layer of protection and that it won't stop or immobilize a dog. It does send out a signal that has an effect on a dog but a determined dog could fight through it. The idea is to daze or confuse the dog so that you can get away- at least in my case. You will still have to use good habits like shouting "NO" and have a backup in the event the dog is not flustered by it.Overall: This is worth the money to have an added layer of protection.

Works AMAZING!
We have a Corgi who just gets ocd with the barking. After literally using it twice, I just now have to pick it up and show him and he stops!Also have some LSG who were bullying the goats around their feed. I used it a few times and again now when they see me come out with it they leave the goats alone. I’ve charged it once and still full charge two week later.I love this! Easy, effective and I’m not yelling at the corgi to stop barking or the pasture dogs to get out of the feed!! Could not love this more. I have 2 and have told many people about it.Great buy
