Good but has a design flaw in powering off
This is a great timer for the idea of it. I looked for a long time for a small timer with a specific functionality with a clip and this was perfect! The magnet and clip is strong, but as others have stated it arrived with a loose battery connection. I solved it by opening it up and bending the connector a bit. After that it worked. Now I realized that there’s no way to shut it off completely…how much money am I going to have to spend on batteries for this?! Those screws are not easy to get out! Someone also stated “take the battery out”. The slider doesn’t function.

Useful
I've relied on two of these in succession. Although one can replace a depleted battery, I recommend against that, because a replacement battery doesn't produce a loud alarm or last long. I threw away the one with the replacement battery and bought a new one. The off/on button is hard to use, because the item's response depends upon holding down the button with the right pressure for the right time, which is difficult to gauge, calling for up to ten tries to turn it on/off. A toggle switch would eliminate that problem.

so far so good.
Only have had it for one day so far so waiting to see if there are longevity issues. Great as a study timer. Unfortunately the clasp doesn't go wide enough to clip onto my lcd display, but it does clip onto my laptop screens fine. Also clips on to my jeans, notebooks etc. Alarm is nice and loud. You can also stand it up on it's own as a freestanding timer if you place it upside down on a desk. I like that I can't read the time when it's placed upside down so I don't get tempted to look at it and see how much time is left. Nice tool.Update Aug 2018: Still works great.

make sure battery is in place.
I received my order and since I was going to use these at work I just tossed them in my purse for the next day.I am excited because I love to be sharp at work. I had to replace 2 $1.00 timers that I purchased at everything's a dollar store. I should have purchased 20 of these things just because of the expense of replacing the batteries. So it costed me 12.00 to get 2 timers to use in place of the $1.00 timers....lesson learned.

Perfect little timer / Simple to use!
I use these for my sped students when they come into my room to take a break. They are perfect. They can set them for the desired time, +/- button and take it with them in my room so we know how much time they have left. I love them! The kids do too! Super happy with them. Just wish they came in different colors!

Well, at least it works.
Bought this to time my laundry (30 min. wash, 50 min. dry) so folks who need to use the laundry facilities here don't needlessly have to wait. It worked the first few times, now you have to press the buttons a certain way (hold down to fast forward) or it doesn't record the time input. Also, to zero it out you have to press both the 'min' & 'sec' buttons at exactly the same time. It still works... it's kinda become my ugly red-headed step child. Temperamental and kinda 'chinsey', but damned if it doesn't ;t still work. There are better timers out there. Go figure

Super!
I bought this to replace my old Tayler timer -- the display was fading -- which was about 15 years old. This new one has a larger and clearer display and a strong clip. Good magnet to stick on range hood.

Broke within a week.
The clip is poorly balanced (hinged in the middle of the timer so that it falls forward when clipped on an apron), and it simply stopped working after just a few days of use.
