Now that my state requires separate disposal of food waste, these bags work great for collecting kitchen compost items next to the sink. They can last up to several weeks for this purpose, without breaking down, leaking, or releasing odors when sealed. Holds liquids well. I also enjoy using these bags to tote around snacks during the day. The partially opaque composition makes it uncertain what items are contained inside, providing a level of privacy.

Yes. I still find a need for this size baggy but it’s well made and fully compostable. It won’t add microplastics to our water, soil, food, air, bodies.

It feels good to know these will compost easily and not be forever in landfills. However, they take some getting used to.Being opaque, you have to label the bag to know what’s in it. Since I use bags for cut produce, it means some things go bad because I can’t see them without opening the bag.They have a different feel to them. I haven’t really tested leakage but I am not very confident that a bag of something at the bottom of a bin would not leak.I will keep using but I miss my clear ziplocks.

We have just received the new bags and so far, they are everything we imagined. We are hopeful they will disolve and free up the environment from all the plastic!

I like that it is compostable, that it is as sturdy as plastic ones and that the ziplock works. Have purchased every size in the product line.
