Probably to keep Me Ice in. I don’t use it though. I Just freeze Mr Ice rolled up so it fits around my knee right out of the freezer.

Yes, it is long enough to wrap around the entire knee, and the Velcro straps keep the pack in place securely.

The straps are elastic and stretch, however it would depend on how wide you are but I’m sure you could add length by creating an extension to the Velcro
