Well they delivered a day late but the items worked out great. I fix most of my own jewelry. So now my bracelet is fixed rather than buying a new one. They are not cheap.

Exactly what I needed to replace a number of worn-out/falling-out split/cotter pins on my wife's watch. The local jeweler wanted $20 and a week to replace the first pin that fell out. I did 5 in 15 minutes with these! Great deal and an easy repair.

I've recently begun trying to learn a bit about "watchmaking", and part of that has to do with altering the size of different types of watchstraps or bands. So far I've seen three different methods of how metal watch "bracelets" have their links joined, and one method uses the type of pins that come in this assortment. You'd think that when altering a watch band that you wouldn't need extra "link pins," but as it turns out in my case you'd be wrong. No, I didn't add in any unused links that were missing pins. I was actually shortening one of my own watchbands, and as I was removing one of the pins in order to take a link out, I had the loose pin gripped with my watchmaker tweezers. As I was attempting to start the pin into the next link my grip on the tweezers changed a bit and the pin went flying off, never to be found. I was fortunate because I had a very small stock of spare pins that came recently with some watch tools I'd ordered, so I was able to complete the alteration, but that's when I placed an order for this assortment of link pins. These rather small items provide a very important ability to keep your watch on your rest and to allow the band to be altered when needed. This assortment of pins runs pretty much what I would think most people that do alter watchbands should need. The quality is at least the equal of the link pins used in current watchbands of all types, and the included container that holds the pins is nicely labeled and sturdy enough to keep the sizes properly sorted and for a very long time. I have a collection of watches with most using pin style link connectors. This is my preferred style of link connector as you don't need a special very small flathead screwdriver (or two in some cases). I've never had a problem with this style of link connector. My only complaint is that the different length pins come in a cheap plastic container. It's basically inevitable that the container will fail and the pins will go all over the table and no longer be assembled by size. I would pay extra for a stronger container but I don't see the Chinese producing one. I'm keeping my eyes open for a similar but stronger container that I could transfer the pins into using a magnet to transfer the pins. Perhaps one already exists but I haven't found it yet.

These are definitely thinner that the original pins that were in the watch and while adequate, they will likely fail in 12 months. These should be only used temporarily as a last resort until original pins can be sourced.

i saved myself a lot rather than sending my watch for repair which will cost AUD20 every time.
