Snake Cube Puzzle (Snake Cube)

I had seen these snake puzzle toys in various places, but I had never actually played with one. So when the iYallow snake cube was offered as a Vine promotion, I ordered it. The puzzle comes in a giftable box about 3 inches square. The 24 pieces, alternating green and red, operate smoothly when I twist them. The puzzle arrived as a ball (see photo). I immediately took it apart, and made a few different shapes. I was curious to discover how to reassemble the pieces into a ball, and I found several YouTube videos that led me step by step through the process. This particular snake puzzle has a push button on each of the pieces which allows you to disconnect and reconnect the pieces so you can make a continuous loop if desired. It's a fun toy, and not just for kids.

This a brightly colored and engaging toy. It reminds me of my childhood toy that was similar except back in the days these snake puzzles were not connected into a closed loop. It arrived assembled into a beautiful shape that I have not yet been able to replicate. The challenge is awesome for kids and adults alike, and even if you do not succeed as putting it together into something unique you still enjoy the fidget aspect of it. There is a way to disassemble the pieces but I do not like to hack puzzles this way so not attempting. They do warn to be sure one understood the mechanism of assembly prior to attempting disassembly.

This snake toy is similar to the vintage ones we had when I was growing up in the ‘80s. It’s made of a lighter plastic, however and is not as slick/glossy as the old ones. Functions just the same, though and makes for a nice fidget toy at the nurse’s station. I received this to review from the Vine program.

We love this new toy. It's great for a 5 year old, and it's great for any adult! One of those rare toys that's for anyone or everyone. And, everyone seems to have different instincts of how to use it. My little one even takes the pieces apart, yes, they detach, and makes them into a house, chair, table etc, and plays with them like doll furniture lol. A versatile puzzle, similar to a rubik's cube, but with more options.

My kids love a good fidget, and this one is a favorite! It comes apart if you want it to (makes it a bit easier for littles to reshape it), and it can be made into lots of fun shapes. Hours of fun--great for long car rides.

Each link of the snake is able to be removed from the next, so there's endless possibilities to what you can do.. small triangles, dual tone squares, or even chain links.. VERY COOL. Highly recommend

This is a high quality version of the 1980s Rubik's Snake puzzle/toy. Made by Gan, so you know the quality is top-notch. It looks great with vibrant colors and turns well. Recommended!
