I purchased this item in 01/02/2025 and less than a month the item randomly stopped working. Working with Fitmax customer support has been a little disappointing. They first sent a cable that supplies power to the camera to see if that was the issue. That didn’t work so they sent another camera which took another week to receive. Once I got it the replacement it came with was already tampered with. The Y cable had damage the camera itself was not properly serviced and the camera coverings has scratched and marks which the customer support states it’s from production. (See photos). When the dashcam was working it was really good. However the longevity of the product and customer support is questionable.

I bought a Fitcamx with the front camera only and with the sunroof plugin kit. The camera is for a 2019 Mazda 3 hatchback. The installation of the camera with both the sunroof kit and the included ob2 cable caused the car to generate an "in-vehicle network malfunction" error. The camera still worked but the car showed the code as long as it was connected to either one of the connection methods that I mentioned earlier. I took my car to the dealership to investigate the error. They examined my car and updated the TCU (Telematics Control Unit) firmware with no change in the error. They confirmed to me that the camera was interfering with the GPS antenna and was generating the code. The code went away when the camera was disconnected. I reached out to the Fitcamx technical support team and they were not helpful.They offered no solutions and tried to push me back to the store where I bought it from. The camera works fine and has a nice oem+ design, however, this company has disappointing technical support for its customers. It also seems like it will generate that code in a Mazda and there is no solution. It's disappointing to see that, and I do not recommend this product or company.

The install was a bit rougher than I initially thought, getting the original trim piece around the rear view mirror off without breaking it was a bit of a challenge… I ended up needing two prying tools to snap it apart.However, once installed, it immediately worked and is very simple to use. App integration works great and the picture is crisp. I like how it taps into the sunroof power for a clean installation.
