The unit itself was an easy swap and replace. It is backlit which is handy. My old unit wasn’t or the bulb was burnt out but that wasn’t the issue. One, I wasn’t able to switch speeds, it was all or none. Then it just failed all together. I had replaced the blower motor controller and resistor about a year ago for the same issue, unfortunately they failed.So I replaced the resistor again and figured just replace the whole unit just in case something was problematic internally. I’m also replacing the blower motor as they recommended it should be replaced as well. Now, since I have a right hand drive, that’s hard to find at a decent price so I haven’t replaced that just yet (though I found that the previous model 97-01 fits - we’ll see if the bolts line up. Standard models have a completely different blower motor that won’t work- found that out)Anyway, installation is easy. My only issue was that the included cable connector for the vent controls did not fit properly so I am currently using the old one. The sizing looks right but the holes where the lines connect are too small so they do not seat and click in. I am going to try to drill the holes open more if I get a chance and see if it will fit then.But for now, my air is working so I’m happy.
