Perfect for post op volar plate repair!!! So good!!
I had to write about my new bondi 6’s! 3 months ago I had a volar plate repair operation in my foot, so basically my second toe was shortened and a couple of screws are now in place. After doing my research I thought I’d give these ago. I mainly run tracks which are a bit stoney in places so was looking for extra cushion to protect my foot. Tried them out this morning...WOW...fantastic! They really iron out the stones and running feels good again! Ordered a size bigger, but then I always do for running shoes. Expensive but I would’ve happily paid double had I known they were this good. Had ASICS before and they are good, just not enough cushion for my foot. They’re maybe a bit heavier too, but the comfort far out ways this. Happy runner again!!

Light yet structured & supportive for the over pronator
I have flat feet & have to use orthotic insoles, I’m not long distance runner (. 8km Max). I’ve always ran in ASICS GT’s with my insoles, recently I was struggling with knee & calf pain. So on the advice of a friend I purchased the Hoka 5’s, great running shoe & I don’t even use my insoles. The Hoka 5 is light yet very structured & keeps me from over pronation, so far I’ve been out for at least 6 runs & have had a comfortable run. Would highly recommend these running shoes

Go half a size up. Larger Toe Box (for splayed toes)
My goal was to find shoes with Large toe box (for the toes to splay)I read endless reviews, then narrowed down to recommended HOKA and Under Armour shoes. Unfortunately, at this age of ecommerce, the product information has near-zero info about the toe box size. So my only course was to order and try. If you have the same need, hope it helps. At Amazon some shoes have Amazon’s Size Recommendation Tool. Don’t trust it!Instead read the reviews. For me it recommended Size 11 for each of the shoes; reviews recommended going up one size. I thought if Amazon recommends me 11, I’d go up only half a size. That was a mistake. Trust the reviews.Under Armour Ua Drift Rn MineralIt’s certainly too small, even at half a size bigger than my usual. Go 1 full size up. Toe box size: bigger than usual shoes. This ended up my favourite.Under Armour Men's Charged Bandit 3Go one full size up. It does not have very large toe box though.Hoka Clifton 5Go half a size up Regular toe box size, not suitable for toes to splay.Hoka Bondi 5 Uomo A3Toe box size: large. Similar to the Under Armour. However, they have very thick sole. Bouncy. As for the style, they look like the special needs orthopedic shoes or that people who want to look taller would wear.Altra Torin 3: absolutely amazing toe box size. Unfortunately Altra’s designs are very …1980s. While I won’t mind ‘unfashionable' for running, I wouldn’t wear them otherwise.

Just the Job
I have wide feet and most trainers I’ve worn aren’t particularly comfortable. During lockdown I’ve walked a lot and done some running, but after a couple if miles my calf muscle starts to ache. So I did a bit of research and ordered these shoes. Tried them on, so comfortable, next day I thought I’ll go for a run. Did 5 miles without any calf ache. Today a 5 mile walk. Really pleased with them.So if you want trainers to exercise in, rather than as a fashion statement then these are perfect.

100KM and still slippery
relegated these hokas to treadmill only. These are very slippery, to the point that they are dangerous when running on wet surfaces.

Comfortable - easy on the joints
Great, was comfort, either walking, jogging or running. To get me into jogging, a great trainer. To walk miles without feet hurting, a great trainer. Not so good, lasted 14 months with sole grip very depleted and tear in upper (if the site allows me to add a photo at a later date to show wear I will add). Become quite uncomfortable (so time to replace). Not waterproof.

Disappointed
I love Hokas, and have two pair. This pair, despite being the same style and size of my others did not fit— the right shoe was a half size (at least) shorter. Sad that I had to return them.

Very comfortable!
Not bulky and helped with my sons foot pain!

Uncomfortable if you have average with feet and do a lot of walking
Shoe is very narrow and only noticeable after you have worn them for a while

Great shoe for running and walking.
This is my second pair of Hoka Clifton 8’s. I love the fit and comfort. I wear them for running, walking, stationary bike and stair climber. Super comfortable and great support. Durable as well.
