This is a really nice hat that fits well and looks good doing it, Whether sunny or raining this will give good protection from the heat or the rain.

Had this hat 5 years now and it gets a lot of use. Sun, rain, snow, hail and wind. Its comfortable all year round and keeps your head at a nice temperature. Give it a good hit with a suitable leather wax every now and then to stop it drying out. Build quality is good but not outstanding but thats nothing to do with the materials its more how its put together things don't line up quite right. And use a chin strap in the wind or you may end up chasing it about.

Perfect fit extremely comfortable quality leather and materials.Not symmetrically made, interior piece of leather sewn in to the front offset to one side instead of even each side.Not at all water repellent even when sprayed with rain guard as recommended.If wearing in any rain, I would definitely coat with dubbin first as otherwise will go floppy and lose shape.I would recommend this hat as despite the above is really good value for money and good quality materials and really comfortable and lightweight.Just don't get it wet, like any leather hat!8/10.

Excellent quality leather hat from Wombat at a very reasonable price. The XL was a perfect fit for me (I am a "big head" at 61 cms) and although no strap was included there was provision to add one which I have now done (a few pounds from e bay - leather of course). Sets the hat off nicely, ideal for a windy day or a ride in a convertible. Would go well with a long drover style coat (which I happen to possess!). It is rainproof (not yet tested) and also keps the sun off - when it shines of course. All in all I am well satisfied.

Arrived 30 mins before I left for Uganda... Phew!Great quality.Provided with a chin strap which would only be required in high winds.I knew the size I'd need due to my motorcycle helmet; if you don't know your size please don't guess, measure.My only quandry was that being near the lower circumference in medium, I debated the small believing, as with bike leathers, the size would ease. I'm glad I went for medium and it fits me well.If it ever starts to ease there's a fold down flap of leather against the forehead; something could be tucked in there then flipped back up to pad it out if the sizing becomes loose.This has now travelled with me to Bwindi's gorillas, as well as serving me well in my travels throughout the country.Recommended.Wondering whether neutral shoe polish will help condition the leather, without losing it's rigidity, after the harsh African sun.Any other suggestions please?

This is a gift for my partners up and coming birthday. We will both be travellig to Aus January 2015 for 3 weeks and have both wanted a bush hat for the trip. This is excellent as its UVA pritectiona dn waterproof. My partner has not received the hat yet as its not yet his birthday but have had to hide it away within its packaging due to the extreme smell of leather. Its a nice smell.It looks fantastic and im sure he wil be over the moon with it.The delivery was speedy and was well received.

Great hat for the price, comfortable to wear and was the perfect fit. Haven’t worn in the rain but leather is a waterproof hide so I should think it is, the seams and stitching look tight so🤞.

I was genuinely looking forward to getting this hat after reading good reviews, I already own another Aussie hat, which was four times the price of this one. The hat arrived really fast, within a couple of days, so no problems with delivery. So why only 3 stars ?Well, I measured my head size very carefully - 59 cm large. Ordered 59 cm hat and it comes up a little small, but may stretch with wear. To me, on first sight, this hat does not look like an Aussie hat, although it is marketed as one. Closer examination of the studs on the hatband reads "Seal of State of Oklahoma" so unless Oklahoma has moved continents, it is an American Stetson type had, imitating the Australian version !I shall keep the hat, as the main reason I bought it, was to keep the rain off my head and neck, on my regular visits to Central Europe. Needed a good hat in June, when Iwas caught up in the Czech deluge and floods, but had left my regular Aussie hat at home. Waiting to see how this one gets on in the wet.
