This is hard plastic as indicated and comes with two straps which is a little odd but... The posting doesn't indicate it comes with a cap but this would be so much better if it did. Then if your laying down to get under something to weld you won't have to worry about the sticks all falling out. And if it had a cap, you could just put it on at the end of the day and use it for a storage when not in use. Personally I think the price is a bit high on this ($19.99 at the time of this writing) for what you get.

I got this to try out, I usually stuff my rods in my pocket, but with this, there is no need anymore, in my pocket they get all sweaty, and wet. I end up ruining rods before my job is done. This keep the rods in open air, and are easy to take out woth gloves on. Love it!

I’m using this as tig rod holder. Makes easy access to rods when I’m welding a big project. What I dislike the most, while not affecting the quality of the holder is the big ol sticker. Most stickers on plastics like these are easily removable, while this one is impossible to remove in one piece. Other than that, this product can be used in many different ways which I like. Decent for the price. The color’s a lot brighter than I thought it would be, which is nice. I also do like the hardness of the holder, but won’t boast about the quality. It’s just plastic.

Product just as described. Its nice but i would rather have it mounted on my welding table with a magnet to have easy access to the welding rods. So I’ll most likely do that instead of having it around my waist.
