Great book to start a business.

Dawn Noble's conversational style in this book makes it a comfortable read. She's very generous with the wisdom she gained while running her PO business.There are 8 chapters and each has many subsections:1.So you think you want to be a Professional Organizer?2. Setting up your office3. Setting up your business4. Training, tips and tools for the professional5. Working with clients6. Finding the clients7. Products8. Ready, set, grow!My only disappointment was that when I went to visit her website, as suggested throughout the book in order to download premade forms, etc. I found that it no longer exists. She left the PO field and didn't keep the site up.

Definitely gives all the usual pointers on starting a home based business. The personal experiences of the author gives insight in things to avoid and her suggestions on what to implement seem logical for success. I was actually looking for a detailed book on the processes of organization which this only touched the surface on...I should have paid closer attention to the title.

This book covered how to start this profession from head to toe. The only thing that changed is the links to some websites are no longer active, but that didn't affect the quality of the lessons given.

Lots of good ideas overall. However, Chapter 2 setting up a phone line with the phone company and a fax? File folders? Very outdated.

I bought this book because I'm considering starting a home-based organizing business. The book was very easy to read because it was well-organized and not in the least overwhelming, though it contained a great deal of helpful information and things to think about for those contemplating an organizing business.

This book is a treasure trove of information for anyone starting an organizing business. She presents her ideas with clarity and the specifics are so helpful. I was able to formulate my pricing and terms based on the suggestions in this book. Dawn Noble is generous in sharing so much information with other budding entrepreneurs in the organizing field!

Very good useful tools to start a home based business in becoming a professional organizer. I thought the author made it simple to read about starting a new business. I recommend this book to anyone who will start an organizational business.

I liked that it was soo detailed and gives you a lot of insights for creating your own home-based organizing business from scratch.

Easy read loaded with tons of information. Pretty sure it not only answered every question I had, but I also learned about things I hadn't even thought of yet. Will also be able to use it in the future as a go to guide. So glad I bought this book!

This is a very well written book, and I am pleased to say the advice for setting up your business inside it is just superb. Dawn has gone to extraordinary lengths to share her business with us and I can say I learned so much about going above and beyond. There are easy to use forms and great ideas to get yourself marketed and that is all before you read how to interact with people. I mean to write people here to as Dawn shows how the person is the important part here, they are not just another customer. As a business that deals often at times with others emotions and feelings this book meets those expectations perfectly.Thanks Dawn for putting so much into the book.
