I love Ruffwear products. Sturdiness, comfort and ease of use seem to be their hallmarks. As harnesses go, it allows adequate space for shoulder movement which is important. It has some great "extra" features such as the sturdy pocket to stash you dog's identification info, and a special attachment area for one of their lights. My dog seems to like it...she will walk right up to it and put her head through the opening.

I have two large dogs over 90 pounds each. This harness works great to keep them under control. It is adjustable in multiple places and easy to put on. The color is nice and visible plus some reflective bits for added safety. The material feels strong and durable like it will last a long time. Would buy it again.

After several tries, I found this one to be the best one. It fits her nice and is very easy to put on and take off. The double clips make it easy to get and off. The part where you put the leash on is very sturdy. I have to admit though, the front clip is not metal and she can easily get tangled in it. I just use the back clip on her. Its reflective also so you can see her at night.

We have two dogs and got each of them this harness on recommendation.For our 63lb older St Bernard mix, it is perfect. The medium fits snug and secure in just the right places. It's well made. Very solid. She loves it.For our 75lb German Shepherd 'puppy' it's far less effective. The medium size is maxed out on the straps, but the next size up is far too large for her. And there doesn't seem to be a size option in between. The fit is not perfect. It's a little short on the chest, which bothers her over time. But we kept the harness because it really is well constructed. Which is what we were looking for because the 'puppy' is STRONG. The no-pull chest leash attachment has been a godsend in training. Except - it's not metal hoop like the one on the shoulder blades! It's just a reinforced fabric loop. After 6 months (of admittedly heavy use) it's fraying.As much as I would love to love this Ruffgear harness, it's not enough for our powerful energetic youngster. We are going to try something else for her. We are considering a real tactical working dog harness next.

I held off on buying this for a while because it’s pretty pricey for a harness, but finally went for it when it went on sale. Now that I have it and am using it, I see that it’s absolutely worth it at full price. Very well made and high quality, I see this lasting for years. Feels very secure on the dog. I like that it has 2 options for where to clip the leash for various situations. Dog seems comfortable in it with the padding and she even puts her own head through the opening when it’s time to “get dressed” for the day. I also like that the clips have fabric underneath them so I’m not pulling her hair when I clip her in. I was really torn on what size to order. I have a poodle much that is about 38 pounds and has a 25” chest, which puts her in a small size, but she’s also still growing and I wanted something to last a while. So I took a chance and got a medium. It’s at its smallest adjustment and is slightly loose, but not by much. It will fit perfectly when she grows just a little more. I would absolutely buy this again and might even get a second one for backup.

Seems as though this brand is hit or miss. I bought one harness prior to this and it's in great shape, but this one, for some reason, has torn where the stitching connects at the chest. Totally ripped right off.Very disappointed considering they aren't cheap.

Bought for my 7kg Tibetan spaniel in XS as per size chart. It’s a great fit and easy on and off. Love the colour and hidden pocket for tags. There’s 2 clip points and feels quite secure around my dog. Price compares to vendor except free S&H from Amazon.

I initially purchased a small size harness and it was too big. I messaged the vendor requesting to exchange for a smaller size. Not only did the vendor send me the smaller one for free, it arrived within 24 hours of my message. The level of service this company provides is very hard to find in today’s environment. This is also a great harness for your pup. It’s comfortable and very easy to put on and take off. Zoey loves it ! Highly recommend.
