This watercolor sketchbook is so beautiful. The fabric is soft and I love the inside pocket. The paper looks awesome and I am so excited to use it. This very well could be my all time watercolor favorites. Great wc skbk for the price.

Because of the affordable price and the good number of pages in this book, I expected a somewhat mediocre quality, because that is what has been my experience lately. They say: you get what you pay for, but in this case, you get more! Both in terms of number of pages and of quality.As said by the other reviewers, the cover is wonderful. It’s covered with a really adorable and soft fabric. The book size is an A5 which is slightly wider than a Moleskine. It comes with a light gray elastic strap to keep the book closed.When you open it, you’re immediately greeted by a pocket that’s on the inside of the front cover instead of on the inside of the back cover, as with other books. Then you get a blank piece of thin paper but don’t get alarmed. It’s just a page for maybe writing some comments on, or your name and contact information. You could also use it as an index of your artworks. In the very back is another sheet of this paper.The rest of the pages are what counts and they are thick watercolor paper. What I like most is the color and texture of the pages. They are a bright off-white, and not at all yellowish or a dull tan or beige that you often see in other books. Personally, I find the Arches paper color a bit too dreary for me and I prefer a brighter, whitish color paper, like with this book. The paint colors look deliciously fresh on this paper!The texture of the paper is beautiful, too. In fact, it is just right. Not too rough or too smooth. However, one side of the paper is more textured than the other side. I know some people have a problem with that but not me and you can easily paint on both sides with great results. The paper holds water well, stands up against multiple washes and is great for layering and a la prima techniques.This watercolor sketchbook is perfect for use as an art journal but also for individual pieces of art because the pages are perforated. Furthermore, the book lies nice and flat.You won’t be disappointed by buying this book. Yes, there are always better and worse watercolor sketchbooks out there, but for the price this is a great value and you will find it a true pleasure to work with! I am using mine as a workbook for a watercolor teaching book (Watercolor Success in Four Steps) that contains 150 little step-by-step exercises that are quick and really fun to do. You can not do these exercises in the book itself so you need a watercolor sketchbook like this one.As you can tell, I recommend this book! I do wish it came in more sizes. I will be honest and say I don’t know if this is 100% cotton but if not, it’s really close. I have done some solid wet in wet with great results. I can see the texture changes (one side rough and one side smooth) being a problem for people who want to do a full spread because each side acts differently.What I love is the paper is good enough quality that I use the textured side for painting pieces that require more water then use the smooth side to do ink and wash or watercolor pencil pieces. I get to use both side of the page! I love the size of the book. I love the soft feel of the cover and the pen loop.I have actually bought three now!!

The description is confusing: "100% cotton" in product description, but in images cotton is not mentioned at all. Also, "Our watercolor paper book is a multimedia sketchbook with ideal drawing paper for watercolors, acrylic paint paper, ink pens, colored pencils, oil pastels, marker sketchbook, and more."So is this watercolor or mixed media paper? I own both in other brands, and the papers are different.That said, I have painted two pages so far (I've had it 2 days). There is nothing in the package to indicate material. The feel of the sketchbook is nice, but that's not a priority for me. The size is nice, and I do like this smaller size a lot. The paper - unlike my watercolor paper which is labeled watercolor paper - doesn't soak up the paint right away, and that allowed me to blend colors well. That's a plus. I usually only paint on one side of the paper, and in this, I will do the same. The paper did not dry flat, but a book on top of it will fix that. It is sewn, and that's a nice feature.Overall, I like this and bought two more. My goal is to paint with watercolor every 1-2 days, so a smaller page is nice for that. I may try painting on both sides, but with the way the paper dried, I'd be afraid to do that.

One of my favorite watercolor sketchbooks for sure! I will be buying this again. Love the design and feel of the hardcover, the different textures of the paper and the high quality. I like how it can open completely flat and has a pocket inside to save my sketches and inspiration. Highly recommend!

This product amazed me! The cover is a beautiful fabric and the inside has a pocket for your finished pieces. Not to mentioned the pages are perforated for an easy tear off! The top sports a place to hold your pencil or brush. I bought so many to give as gifts and have already begun receiving photos of beautiful artwork!

The cover is simply beautiful. It's soft with a lovely pattern. I love the pen loop to hold my pencil! The paper is thick with both a textured and smoother side. I can't wait to paint on it! I hope there will be more cover patterns to choose from in the future because I think I have just found my favorite watercolor sketchbook!
