The media could not be loaded. I was really wanting to love this turntable, but alas, I don't. The look is very reminiscent of the unit I had in my bedroom as a teen many, many years ago. It operates similar to the old versions for a few variances. A center piece is included to play 45 rpm records. There is no cylinder to drop the smaller records, so you must play them one at a time instead of piling your faves for extended music. The arm requires manual placement on any size record and doesn't return to the stand when a record is finished. The arm does lock into place when pushed down to keep it from shifting when moving the player. I could have managed these issues if the sound quality wasn't so very poor. I am uncertain whether it is the needle quality or a speaker issue but when playing a favorite recording I wouldn't have been able to identify the artist had I not known who it was. Another issue is the maximum volume of the unit is too soft to enjoy without enhancing greatly on an external speaker. In my opinion this unit is little more than a record player suited for playing children's records - sadly no one has them anymore. I don't recommend this player unless you are in possession of musical nursery rhyme 45s.
