I've used these for years now and they really help on those hot days! I highly recommend them for anybody that needs some cool air when you can't be around fan or A/C. They take 2 AA batteries and the Dollar store batteries will last 4-5 days if used moderately. But I recommend Duracell batteries for longer power.

These fans are great. My cousin was visiting and would get over heated. I thought of this fan. She was very happy to have her own personal fan.

I tried the fans that wrap around the neck & they were hot, uncomfortable to wear & blew air into my ears (not helpful when prone to earaches). These fans are worn like a necklace & blow air up on the chin & face. I’ve been using them for years for outdoor chores in the heat. I also like that they use regular batteries. (Nothing with rechargeable batteries & USB port cables have ever lasted for me.) These little fans work.

I purchased 3 of these units to take to Girl Scout camp because the temps were going to be extremely hot! We had a lot of hiking to do and I thought these would be light to carry around, which they are! You can barely feel you have it on. I read a lot of reviews stating how great it worked at Disney world which is a hot! I thought this would do the trick for midwest heat, but no such luck! On the days we used them, the heat index was well over 100 degrees and so I could barely feel the air. blowing on me. It did nothing to cool me down, or my kids. They string is adjustable so I moved it as close I could to my neck and I could still barely feel it. Perhaps if you had one of the fancier ones that had different speeds it would do the trick, but this one felt like a very low speed. It didn't have enough power as other neck fans I have had in the past. I did wear it for 3 days on the average of 6 hours per day, and the batteries were still going strong. It does make some noise but it's not very loud, especially if other noises are around you. If you are looking for a lightweight fan to use indoors this is great! When I tested it in the house with the AC, it seemed more powerful and worked great! If you have a job inside, this might work great for you. .

Went to Book Bonanza, and knew from previous times it can be a sweaty mess waiting in line to meet your favorite author. This year I can prepared. Thanks to these neck fans I was able to remain comfortable, and my hands where freed up to grab all the amazing loot at the signing tables.

Bravo for being run by batteries and also for being able to wear around the neck, but really gave very little air to cool one down.

Lanyard could be more broad and nade of softer material (terry cloth). As it is, the lanyard is not gentle to the skin, cause bruising and soreness

Nice for trips with lots of walking! One of mine came without a battery back though (?), so not the best quality, but it gets the job done.it works so that a gust of air comes from the top of the device, so it cools down your neck. it only has one setting, but it’s pretty strong. Not loud, but not super quiet.

I love this fan. It's hands free. It's so hot working from home this summer it was 40 celcius and I have no air conditioning. I wore this fan around my neck while working at my desk in front of my computer. It blows cold air, not weak at all, it's has only one level but actually powerful for a small fan, you can really feel the air. kept me nice and cool for hours (2 AA batteries). The string has a toggle so you can have it come up close or far from your face. It's light weight too, you don't feel it around your neck. My grandma loves it, keeps her cool while she goes for her walks. I have this fan in my purse everywhere I go this summer. I don't leave home without it. I bought 3, really recommend this fan!

Great that the breeze went under the neck but wished it was a little more powerful
