Great price! I will definitely purchase this off of Amazon again because they were great.

Works good to keep off the mosquitos where I live. Kind of expensive along with the replacements, but beats getting eaten up.

Purchased for camping and it works very well. Only issues was when there was a breeze that went the other direction then. the bugs bothered us. We just moved it around.

I was very skeptical of this, even after reading all the positive reviews. It just doesn't seem like anything keeps mosquitoes away except for spraying yourself with repellent. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised and still am a little shocked that it actually seems to work. I have a pool and I work on my laptop out on the patio next to it, and by 4:30 PM I usually have to go inside because I start getting bit by mosquitoes. For the last week I have been sitting out there well into the 6 to 7 PM range without getting bit, with this little Repeller sitting next to me. I still almost can't believe that that is the reason why I'm not getting bit and that it must be a fluke, but so far it really does seem to work. I will update my review if I notice a change but right now I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with this purchase. I bought extra of the Pads and fuel, because you do run through them quickly if you're leaving it on for hours at a time, especially of the pads, which only last four hours. But if it means I'm not getting bitten, I do not care about keeping a stockpile!

Absolutely fantastic at keeping the bugs away but, have had 2 now that slowly get gummed up where you turn on/off/light to the point it is difficult to turn. The first lasted 2 years and died the slow death. Then came number 2 which lasted 10 months with same story. I just received number 2 replacement and I hope I can get 2 years out of it.You find a product that works, and Thermacell not only make the replacements expensive but then clip you again for whole new unit in an obscenely.short amount of time they last, not yet allow them to become unusable, keep the shareholders 😎UPDATE!2nd purchased unit on/off/light getting gummed up to make it close to impossible (already had one that died in same manner) now in find it leaking some what looks like black tree sap (see photo) PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE!

I live in PA, in a very rural area, so mosquitoes tend to make the most of both the short bug season and the fact that I’m the only restaurant in town. I am an all-you-can-eat buffet for them, complete with a giant “EAT AT JOE’S” neon sign over my head. Those little suckers have chewed their way through bug sprays, essential oils, and holy water. So I took a chance on the Thermacell after reading the reviews, figuring I’ve wasted $20 on dumber things if it didn’t work out.This is my new best friend.I start it at dusk, and within 10-15 minutes it’s like I’m in my own hamster ball of bug protection!I enjoy reading on the porch at night, and generally have bugs making their evening pilgrimage to the light of my Kindle.I am now left in peace and solitude. No bites, no little green hoppy bugs on my screen, no flies, not even the occasional crunchy June bug smacking into me! It. Is. Bliss.Thermacell is simple to set up and turn on. There is no smell or noise, just the pure bug-free enjoyment of my space. As light and compact as the unit is, it’s nothing to pop it into my bag when I want to take the show on the road.If you have any doubts, lay them to rest. This product is amazing! It works so well I’m considering including these as an add-on to gifts!

I would never have ordered this item had I known two things:1) the item is only for one day or 12 hrs.2) this item cannot be returned.I don't want something that is expensive to used regardless of how effective it is. I didn't even open the box and attempted to return it. I understand clearly now: this is not returnable!!! Not happy about it. Do not care whether or not it works. I don't want it. Do not buy it unless you have $25 a day to throw away. I do not! Hence the One star review. I would like to give it zero stars because the customer service is poor. No returns? Who can afford to do that these days?

We bought them for a trip to Tahoe in June when the mosquitos are very active. We hate the smell of citronella and hate to use them near food. We put is under out table when we ate out doors and no one got bitten. This summer our area was invaded by small "ankle bitter" mosquitos. We can now sit on our patio without getting eaten alive.
