I was surprised that the shoes were as good as they are given the price. The only fault is the buckle which I am trying to find an alternative so they will stay latched. They are really cute and I would like to wear them and feel safe (in that I don't want the shoes to slip off my feet due to the flimsy latches.

Adorable, velvet Mary Jans style shoes. Light and flexible rubber sole. The buckle was confusing at first, as it hooks over the other buckle, however, I find it quite a lot easier to use than regular buckles with my disabled hands.These shoes will NOT be durable enough for a hike, or a long trip up and down the Las Vegas strip. However, if you want something super cute for an indoor setting that will not be painful at the end of the day…. These velvet Mary, Jane’s are perfect.

Bought these inexpensive cute Mary Janes to go wear with my daughters Halloween costume. The shoes fit well with no problems true to size. But the smell of them was terrible. They smell like gas/oil. We left them outside for a week to air out and they never did. We sprayed them with febreeze and still smelled like gas/oil. My daughter wore them once for 2 hours and the next day I threw them away. I would have given the shoes 5 stars, but the smell was just totally overwhelming and ruined the shoes.

So cute and I get a lot of compliments on them! There was that odor, that people had talked on Amazon, so that I expected, but it goes away pretty quick. The only issue that I had, which really wasn’t-technically, was regular wear and tear. Of course these are not made to last forever, so eventually the silk lining on the Inside came a little loose, but I just glued it back down and the buckles loosen up a little bit after you wear them for a long time. The buckles could get fixed easily, if it ends up really becoming more than it is. The bottoms actually seem like they’re going to last forever and the material is still a nice black velvet!

Bought these for a theatre costume, and they look really nice superficially, but they stank strongly and horribly of chemicals (still do 1 week out) and I do not expect them to last long because the buckle piece is extremely thin, possibly aluminum.

I like them a bunch, they are comfortable. But, the buckle has really SHARP EDGES & it's tricky. You have to be careful not to slice your finger open. I will be taking them to my cobbler, to have the buckle replaced.They do run rather small, as most these reviews mention. I usually wear a size 7 and occasionally a size 7.5. With these particular Mary-Janes, I ordered a size 8 and they are fit perfectly. Therefore, I recommend you also order a whole size up. You might want to pop in some kind of insole, because there is NO support. They are not your typical, thin-soled Mary-Janes, which I like. They are made with a lovely velvet and they have a thicker shoe-sole. I wore the traditional Mary-Janes all thru the 80s and since I have Multiple Sclerosis, I can no longer wear heals, so it's back to these for me.

These shoes are very cute. They arrived quickly, they fit perfectly, and are very comfortable. All this is why I am very disappointed by the EXTREMELY strong chemical smell that won’t seem to go away. It made my whole bedroom smell the first night they were out of the package. They aired out for a couple days and now I’ve worn them a couple times and the smell doesn’t seem to be going away. It’s literally so strong I can smell it when I’m walking and it is a very unpleasant chemical smell. I’ll be trying a few things that will hopefully help because I really love the style and fit, but as of right now, the smell is almost enough to convince me to return them.

When the shoes came, one was broken and missing its fastener. As can be seen in the picture, the stitching on the existing fastener will not hold for long. The glue for the insoals had come loose too. These shoes are not a high quality item and I will return them.

Lovely velvet finish with a thick but flexible rubber sole. Arrived 3 days early.Made very small, though. Go a 1/2 size up, at least.

La grandeur et le look sont parfait mais ils ont brisé au bout de 15 jours
