Pleasant taste, easy to drink could have been more concentrated/stronger
Dislike-the string around the bag is sticking to the bag, hard to get it off and sometimes it tears apartThe tea could have been more concentrated/strongerOtherwise, the taste is pleasant and easy to drinkUsing it for supplemental healing

Herbal and woody tasting, not much aroma
Essiac Tea is not something I've tried before so I gave it a shot. Neither the teabags or the brewed tea has a very strong aroma. I brewed the tea for 10 minutes and got a medium brown colored cup. The flavor is smooth, herbal and woody, like something aged in an oak barrel. This isn't too surprising because it is made from roots and bark. I didn't notice any "spicy finish" like they described in the product listing. It's easy to drink without additions and sits well in the stomach. It is a very mild tea and I prefer tea that has serious flavor so I took off a star for that. It is caffeine free so you can have it after dinner without it keeping you awake. The teabags come in a resealable pouch and are the very fine mesh pyramid shaped bags with a string.

Love it!
I'm not a tea guy but I got these for my wife. She burned through these faster than any other tea I have seen her have. Needless to say she loved them was an understatement. She said it was a nice light tea and easy to drink and rather smooth. this blend is supposed to be good for your immune system and while I cant say it was the tea when my 9yr old brought home the first week of school bug, everybody but mom got sick, coincidence... I don't know probably. Either way she liked it and we'll likely be ordering up some refills for her soon.

Surprised at the high ratings...
To be fair I wasn't sure what the flavor was going to be for this tea, but let's just say it wasn't what I was hoping for. My first cup of this tea I lifted it up and it smelled (in my opinion) like an old cigarette. Unsurprisingly, the taste was very similar to the smell! Maybe other people are into that, but that was enough for me. Giving this 3 stars because I did think the packaging was decent and I actually really liked the little sachet tea bags that this is in. I also have no doubt that this is perfect for some people out there, and taste is such a personal thing. But it just wasn't for me. sorry.

Great tea to try.
I ordered this herbal tea by Essiac Tea for the first time. The tea is in 40 individual tea bags, packed inside an airtight zipper bag. Each tea bag is filled with a combination of roots and herbs. This tea doesn’t really have any specific taste or flavor at all. However, I tried it by mixing some sugar and it did end up tasting better than how it would taste without it. I’ve only had it 4 times and each time it’s become easier to drink than the last time I had it. It’s caffeine-free so having it in the afternoon will not end up giving you sleepless nights. It is not drinkable with milk since it is not black tea, instead it is just roots and herbal leaves mixed in teabags. I’d recommend this tea blend to anyone who enjoys trying different tea flavors and combinations.

From China
Nothing in the description online (that I saw) disclosed this was from China. Bag states from China. No info is provided on the bag about where it was gathered or made in China. Product not eligible for return. Complete waste of money.

Earthy
I will try to rate this objectively, but I really did not like the flavor of it. Supposedly there are health benefits to this type of tea, but none of the data I saw was conclusive. The packaging is nice sturdy and has a seal to keep in the freshness. The teabags are good quality and the tea does not leak from them. The flavor of the tea is where it went down hill for me. It is a very herbal earthy flavor. It got better with honey and milk but still was a strong flavor, even though I was careful to only steep it for the time indicated on the directions. Good quality, just not something I enjoyed.
