Blue Horse Kona Coffee Farm-fresh: 100% - Medium Roast - Arabica Whole Beans - 8 oz Bag - 100% from Hawaii

Guess I was expecting this magical cup of coffee. I’ve heard so much about genuine Kona coffee it wasn’t bad. It tasted like Starbucks breakfast blend. One thing when I read about this coffee was how their beans were grown, and that they would have a little oily film. The beans were dry, kind of an unusual tan color, but the biggest thing I noticed when I opened the bag, I was waiting for that nice aroma there really wasn’t one. that’s why I’m glad I got an 8 ounce bag just to give it a try was truly hoping for something different because I’m tired of Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts coffee

Best coffee I’ve had outside of Hawaii. Used a burr grinder then refilled Vertuo pods with these beans.

I really love the taste of this coffee. I've cycled through about a dozen coffees lately and this is my overall favorite, but because of the high price I just make a medium sized cup every other day, and drink the lower priced coffees during the day. I guess this is like buying a fine wine or Scotch. Costs more for something unique and very good tasting.

Wanted to update my review - First bag I ordered & received from Amazon - HORRIBLE! Blue Horse reached out to me and sent a replacement bag - That's the coffee I wanted... good coffee, reminds me of my anniversary trip to Hawaii. I suggest order direct from Blue Horse - not via Amazon.

These are expensive compared to generic and/or name brand coffee beans. I am not a coffee snob, but I do enjoy a good cup of black coffee every morning. I bought this on a whim to see what all the hype was about, and from the smell of the beans and the fresh grounds and the aroma of the brewed coffee, and down to the taste. This coffee is worth it.I probably can't drink my favorite brand names any longer.
