Janome Professional Grade Foot for 9mm Machines

I wish my machine came with this foot. It's perfect for those times you need a smaller seam allowance. Easy to attach. The hole on the right side prevents the needle from breaking if you forget to move the needle position.

This foot works PERFECTLY with my MC9850! I used it to install a zipper in jeans as this foot gets closer to the teeth than the actual zipper foot. It is machined exactly for the needle position and a great price!

Works great and fits my machine well. I just wish it had a quick release.

Arrived quickly

I learned how to sew many decades ago from my grandmother who was a professional seamstress. Fast forward to 2020 when the Pandemic started and my cheap Janome might have gotten me back into sewing but I wanted a better machine. So, I purchased a Janome Memory Craft 8200 QCP. I love the machine but I've spent the last three years bothered over the fact that it didn't come with that good, old-fashion sewing foot I knew when I was young.This foot is a fancy replacement for that favored foot from a bygone era. It is narrow so it lets me sew around tight corners and curves easily. What is new to me: It has a hole on the right side that allows for an easily sewn scant stitch if I keep the needle in the middle. If I move the needle to the left, it acts like my favorite foot on my grandmother's machine.Love. This is a must have foot if you have a high shank Janome. Someone mentioned that this foot does not work on cheaper Janome models. My cheaper machine is packed away right now. I will update this review when I pull it out, which might be awhile. But, if memory serves me correctly, the feet might work differently on my $400 machine. So, check your model to see if this is appropriate for your machine.

fits my Janome MC6650. very pleased

Just got this foot... noticed the package was resealed so I'm wondering if it is actually new - which is what I paid for- or a return. I cut the packaging before taking a photo. I will check it out closer tomorrow... and possibly update this review or return it.UPDATE: inspected the foot very closely. Looks new... attached On my S7 just fine, needle went down hole upon startup, moved needle to left-most position"and did a couple test runs. Found out if you set the fabric edge lined up with the 1/16 mark it does an 1/8" stitch line.

This foot is designed for the Acufeed Flex systerm and is supposed to only be used with the Janome HP (professional grade) needle plate, which only works on a very limited number of top-of-the-line Acufeed Flex machines (read: very pricey). My Janome Skyline S6 is a mid-range machine with the Acufeed Flex system, but without all the software bells and whistles. It is not one of the machines you can use the HP needle plate with (the HP plate triggers a software program on higher-end Acufeed Flex machines that puts the needle in the proper, left side position). But I'm smart enough to figure out that if I use my straight stitch needle plate and set the needle to the left position, this foot works perfectly! It sits right over the left two feed dogs, as it is designed to do. When Janome says this foot "must be used with HP needle plate", they are really saying: 1) you aren't intelligent enough to manually set your needle position to left each time you use the foot, and 2) if you want a professional straight stitch foot, you must purchase a $2000 or higher machine. Not so! P.S. This is an awesome foot--a game changer for making accurate scant 1/4" seams. I just used it to make a tailored dress shirt and it did the best job ever!!!
