This was a hit with my 2 year old grandson, and the adults liked it too. It's simple the way toys used to be. I think it will hold out even with all the hammering it's getting.

I love the idea of wooden toys, but far too often they have fallen flat with my kids.They love this thing! They had a hard time with the hammer at first, but quickly learned they could push down on the pegs with their hands. When they figured out the hammer it added a whole new layer to the fun. I've even caught my 9 year old playing with it when he younger siblings aren't around.

The toy is really cute. It is made really nice. It is so much better than toys from plastic with annoying music and loud messy sounds

Very good sturdy long lasting toy. Great if they like to bang and hammer on things but she doesn’t seem to want to yet at least. She is just 1.

I purchased this for my great grandson and he enjoys playing with it as he loves banging on things. It is made out of a high quality material. The mallet has felt on one side to prevent damage to the wood. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this cute turtle for my son (now 10 months old) as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, the pounding hammer broke within a week. While my son still occasionally plays with the turtle, it has lost its purpose as a pounding toy without the hammer. I wish I had returned this item and chosen something more durable.
