Oops!
This is a great idea, and easy enough to set up. My mistake was thing my persnickety dog would use it. He won't even step on it. It is a great product for inside dogs who are more adventurous.

Spacious dog potty for indoors and out
We have a 15-lb. Chiweenie who is pad trained. We all prefer to let him go outside if possible, but this is not always possible in rain, snow, and low temperatures. Now, he's really good with pads, and most of the time, he manages to make bull's eye waste deposits on them, but when it comes to his big, stinky business, he forgets where his rear-end is, and tends to wander off the pads. So we selected this dog potty to see if it will make a difference... it's much bigger than our 36x24-inch pads!It just came yesterday, and we were excited to set it up today. We introduced it to our dog, but he did not christen it immediately. He's not used to the grass. He is a little leery of the whole thing, but very interested in walking all over it and sniffing it from corner to corner. I plan to put a slightly used pad underneath, just so he knows why it's there. So today, he's just getting to know this monster-sized dog potty. I will have to come back soon and update on how it works out for us. For now, though, I am pleased with the kit of plastic base with an edge to contain liquid, a reusable pad and artificial turf. The size of 46.9" x 28.3" is amazing! The biggest I've ever seen. If our little dog can't keep his business contained on this giant potty, we have more training to do!It can also be used outdoors, and it has two retaining stakes to hold it down. It also has an attachment of artificial greenery for dogs who lift their legs. I'm not sure we'll use that, because if we do, we will also have to put a pad on the wall behind it. Dogs and puppies with short legs don't always lift legs; this can be a blessing. We find that having a pad-trained dog helps us even HAVE a dog because we are elderly and not always able to take the dog outside. He's okay with that. As long as we have potties available, and now we do!This one is nicer than our other one (which is basically pee pads on a silicone base). The grass adds a little class, I think, and doesn't look like a giant pee pad.

Needs 4 corner clips, not 2
The turf material is on the cheap side compared to others I have tried. The tray idea is novel but not having a clip for all 4 corners is dumb. My dog just flips that side of the turf up and chews on it. Would also be better if it had a way to secure it in place.

WOULD I BUY THIS?
I've been using this type of potty system for my 6-lb Yorkie since I brought her home. I like to replace them every six months because inevitably, there comes a point where the grass holds a smell that you just can't eliminate. This is NOT a criticism of THIS product, but it is something you should know. That said, this is a great product for your fur baby, and mine took to it immediately. I did not use the standing grass attachment because she doesn't lift her leg. It was a cinch to assemble and we were up and running in less than 5 minutes. The back side of the potty pad is some sort of plastic. I've washed it twice already and feel like I may need to replace it soon. I checked the brand store, and here is something you need to keep in mind. They don't sell replacement grass, so you will have to hunt to find the right size if you want to continue using the tray. Ideally, they would sell replacement grass and potty pads. Without these, you will have to buy a whole new unit, which isn't great for the planet or your pocket.I still like this item for my baby because the grass has good holes for drainage when compared to others, which makes the longevity better. I just need more from the brand to keep it in rotation without a full replacement.Would I Buy This? Yes!Value for the price - Fair

Great for no yard
This is a big enough rectangle that it's good for all but the largest dogs. The artificial grass sheds a bit which doesn't matter at all if you're using this outside. This is really designed to be an outdoor thing. The grass is just some sort of astroturf which you can replace down the road if you need to. It's one individual swappable part. I have a female dog so I don't use the pee incentive grass but I've had male dogs in the past. This is a fantastic idea. The screw plates in two of the corners keep the thing from getting too messed up if your dog scratches after going. The plastic rectangle bottom pan is plenty thick and durable. It should last for several years. The downside is cleaning. This is no worse to clean than other similar things but it's still a pain. The grass is not waterproof so liquid drains through to the catching pad. If this gets ignored for more than a day or two it builds up some stink. This is a good kit but I'd suggest having multiple catch pads ready to go. I've got a laundry basket in the garage with used pads in it and enough pads that I have a dedicated load of laundry. I have a tiny dog that doesn't go outside (she was almost eaten by a hawk last year). I tried the grass for a while but found it an unnecessary hassle and just keep pads in the bottom pan and it works perfectly for my needs. It is larger than many of these kinds of things which is either good or bad. Just double check the measurements to see if it will fit where you want it to. You can also try using disposable pads under the grass for a while. The one pad they include makes this a perfectly fair offering at reasonable value but it's not enough. Amazon Basics caries some pretty good pee pads.

Not worth it.
I want you to picture in your head a kennel tray, a pee pad and a cheap fake piece of grass. I put this back in the box quicker then I took it out. I could make what they sent me for an astonishing cheaper price. Sorry for no photos. I was just astonished that I received what I did
