This barrel cover has been like a shield for my outdoor gear, fitting snugly over my storage barrel and standing up to the harshest of elements. I have a 55 gallon barrel of compost in my garden that was covered with a bucket for a lid, but my kids keep knocking that lid off so I had to figure something else out. I got this to use as a cover that would stay on better and it works perfect! It slips over the top really well and cant be knocked off by my kids. The material seems tough and it looks like it is sewn well, but I don't know how it will hold up over the years so we will have to see. All-in-all it has worked out really well for me and I would buy it again.

We end up using these barrels in multiple places around the farm. Most of the ones I use are the food-grade blue ones. Those are generally bought used and have tons of stickers on them. We decided to try these barrel covers to offset some of the interesting stickers and markings they come with.In addition, we use these to catch rain water for the chicken house and a couple other places where things needs washing up. If they get too much sun, the algae starts to mess up the faucet we install on the bottom to dispense the water. So, a cover can help prevent the work involved in cleaning those out if algae becomes an issue.I’ve gotten a few in black, but this was the first one I’ve seen in a green. It arrives in a nice little zipper bag, and is made of strong fabric material. It’s a bit big for our food grade barrels, so it should fit the metal ones just fine if needed.It’s a nice product. We’re quite satisfied with it.

So, a plastic blue barrel is weatherproof, correct? It is, but the white plastic screw-in plugs are not! I found out the hard way that my potable water storage is bad because the white plastic plug deteriorated in the sun, so crud and mosquitoes have ruined the water. It wasn't worth trying to clean the inside of the barrel through the tiny holes, plus where would I get new plugs, so I'm tossing the whole thing. What a waste. I haven't bought another barrel yet, so I thought I would try this on a camp-chair I have that I want to keep outside but don't want the cats to lay on it or for it to get dusty and yucky. So far so good, we'll see if this holds up to the Arizona sun for more than one season before I buy another barrel.

The side seam and seam around the top are sealed on the inside with clear seam tape. Height measures 36 1/2" from bottom to top seam. Diameter of the top, from seam to seam, is 25 1/2". There is a draw string in the bottom cuff.

We store seasonal clothing in a 55 gallon drum in the carport due to limited closet space. I wanted something that would add an extra layer of protection from the weather as our carport roof leaks. this worked really well. It has a good fit and seems to be well-made. There is a drawstring on the bottom to tighten it down. The cover includes a storage back for when it is not in use. I'm pleased with the quality and fit of this cover.

This cover seems quite durable, is light wieght, seems water proof, and is strong. I can see using this for a rain barrel cover, hamper/laundry bag, large/extra-large personal shopping care/honey-do cart liner, toy storage bag, etc.A storage bag is included for storing the cover when not in use. The storage bag has a zipper closure and is very easy to use and quite practical.I recommend this cover.

This fits my water drum easily no problem at all. Came with a nice zippered bag. I don’t know why I’ll use it for this in the future. I’ll probably just keep the zippered bag and use it for something else. Material seems sturdy, but you never know how things will hold up over time in the elements. Seems like a good buy so far.
