Great Medium Duty Recovery.
I am very happy with what I see in this soft shackle and snatch ring. I am still stuck in the old school use of snatch blocks. This I am hoping will bring me to a more modern and simplified recovery system. The soft shackle seems well made and how it works is very simple to implement. The snatch ring is also quite easy to setup and looks well made. I have not had the chance to use it yet but I can honestly say, I am more of a believer now instead of a skeptic. There is really no comparison to the weight difference and overall bulkiness in comparing the conventional steel snatch block and this soft shackle, snatch ring. This wins by a mile. I look forward to using this setup and if I feel it does not live up to my expectations and its claims, I will be doing an update to this review. It is not cheap but neither is a good steel snatch block. I think it would be worth the money if it performs as well as I expect. And another thing I like is how they give you a nice little nylon bag to store everything in. I hate when you get something that provides you with a storage bag but after you use the item it is impossible to get it packed back inside. This one is nice and roomy and you will have no problem storing everything nice and compactly. 5🌟’ for now!

open minded skeptic
The snatch ring is without a doubt a quality made item and well suited to turn corners with your wench line (within it's capacity of course). The grizzled old man in me is cautious if not skeptical of the soft shackle. It's proper use checks all the right boxes, and constriction is the quality at play here. Within all the right parameters it will function as intended in a perfect world. Thing is, it's failure brings a whole new set of elements and danger zones in it's use. I have every intention of trying the soft shackle in a real world situation, and will update this review if any surprises are encountered, which I do not expect. In all, the system is well made of materials capable of the forces that it is rated to handle. The storage bag is handy for keeping things together. The cost is more than reasonable for what the set can deliver, and as such I can recommend it's purchase. An updated review will be made if any issues are encountered.

Good Tool To Have On Hand
You never know what will be required when a vehicle needs to be recovered or a load needs to be moved. Having an assortment of devices to choose from can make the difference between success or failure. This has two uses, one is to change the direction of pull, and two, to multiply pulling force. By looping the winch cable through the ring and back to the winch, I was able to move a downed tree that the winch previously stalled on. The soft shackle is versatile in that it goes around larger things like axles, or through smaller opening like tow points. It just simply works in a wider range of cases than a metal shackle. You can pass the winch cable through the shackle or pick up and include an existing winch line - handy for changing anchor points. Both of these pieces are well-made, and come with a nice storage bag to keep them clean and protected until use. Thanks to this product, I am better prepared for a wider set of circumstances. I am pleased to add this to my kit.

Safety concerns
The soft shackle feels light weight and has spots on it that possibly look like abrasion. The snatch ring is painted, something I've never seen. Usually snatch rings are anodized. I'd expect the paint to wear and possibly gum up during use. The overall impression I'm getting makes me feel uneasy to use this on my 4X4. Safety is paramount on this type of gear as an accident can lead to death. I can't say I'll be using this on my rig.

Very good looking equipment.
I recently changed out the old steel cable on my smaller HF electric winch with synthetic rope. This soft shackle and Snatch ring should make a good match to the synthetic rope winch line.I have noticed that all the professional recovery people on the web have gone to often using soft shackles when rigging for a winch pull. They are lighter and often have even higher strength ratings than metal shackles and less likely to damage finishes on whatever you are hooking up. Seems crazy that a rope with a big knot and loop are stronger and safer, but the professionals use the all the time. This have a very nice quality look to the rope and the woven loop and big knot on the end. The black sleeve should also help protect the rope on rougher metal surfaces. The snatch ring looks good and has a nice finish. Everything easily fits into the included storage bag.Nice kit. Recommended.
