Stout
These are strong stakes, the triangular design makes them unbendable by hand, I tried. They're plenty long enough. I haven't tested them in rocky soil yet due to the weather, so hopefully they'll hold up well but I think they will. Obviously much bulkier than the thin steel wire stakes that come with tents these days, but they're light weight due to the aluminum, each stake is really light though the whole bag has some hefty. I don't need all 16 stakes though, so what is needed for staking hammock tarps or tents is packed and the rest are basically just "replacements." Great product for the price I'd definitely buy these again if I needed them.

Nice tent pegs
Wanted a better tent peg than what came with the tent. These are well made and work great.

Rock solid - Great find
I am an avid lightweight/ultralight backpacker. I opted for the 9” stakes because I just purchased an ultralight non-freestanding tent and wanted to ensure good anchoring. I love how much more beefy these are than the 7” MSR Groundhogs. Weight penalty is nominal. I’ve used these on two overnight test runs and they appear to have excellent holding power and durability (no bending pounding into rocky soil). Highly recommended - especially if the weight penalty is not a huge concern (and even then, I’d choose these again, no question).

Burr...
Check for burrs around the pull cable holes.

Very similar to the MSR Groundhogs
These stakes are very similar to the much more expensive MSR Groundhogs. They have been durable and work well. I own both MSR stakes and these. These are a much better value for money.

Lightweight and inexpensive
Lightweight and fairly thin metal, but you get alot of them. If you break a few no big deal.

Lightweight and sturdy
We used these on a 66 mile backpacking trip and they worked great. Weight was important and these are super light. We were often on rocky ground and these held up remarkably well as we pounded them into rocks with another rock.I was truly impressed.

The best
The best for rocky soil. Will keep your tent stable even in high wind where other stakes give up. Useful to have loop on end.
