Designed Well
I'm a retired electrical design engineer and was impressed with the design of theses - two pack. The unit is basically a fan and some different colored flashing LEDs, but there is more to the design. The air flow dam on the bottom side (which causes it to float) is rounded without sharp edges, which definitely helps protect your wood floors from scratches. The unit also contains a 16850 Lithium-Ion battery, so it can be replaced if needed.There have been some negative reviews on the charger cable. The charger circuit - whatever it is - is contained in the USB end of the cable. I did find it's connection to be a bit finicky, but suspect most of complaints are about the charging LED being lit or not - the unit comes with a well charged battery.My 4 year old grandson loved it. While I bought the 2 pack thinking the battery in one might drain too quickly, it didn't come close in his on/off run time over the day (~8 hours).FYI - it floats well on ceramic tile with grout grooves. It does not float on low pile carper.
