LASCO 04-1525 Toilet Flapper Chain with Foam Float Fits Kohler

Finally... found a way for my daughter to properly flush the toilet... modern replacement flappers don't seem to "stay up" long enough to allow most of the take to drain in a toilet that is already a "water efficient" model. Previously, only way to ensure a proper flush was to hold the handle down for a full second or so... with a special needs daughter, that doesn't always happen...Though, when I just used this in conjunction with the existing chain the float was too far above the flapper and didn't hold it up long enough. I had to actually remove it from the chain, then mount it on the existing chain so that it was basically right on top of the flapper... Not a design flaw, just a limitation of the toilet we have (water level wasn't "deep" enough).

Worked great for a toilet i could not figure out how to replace the chain because i could not get the old one off the flapper. so i hooked this one to what was left of the old one. there was a part in the package i did not know what to do with. it is a white plastic tube with an opening in both ends. i ended up using it to cover the chain closest to the flapper to prevent the chain from going down the drain and keeping the flapper open and letting the water continue to run.

Every toilet chain I buy seems to break in a few months, they are thin and cheap. This chain looked nice and solid in the pictures and since it was 3x the price of all the others on Amazon, I assumed better quality. When it arrived, it is just a cheap and thin and flimsy as the rest of them. Returning and searching for something better.

Incomprehensible instructions on how to attach chain to flapper.

Have not tested this yet. It looks like it should work. A little high in price for what it is.

I guess it works, but it didn't come with any intelligible instructions, so I tried to make it work, but could never figure it out.
