Excellent book.
Chock full of research, insightful and very informative. I can't put it down. I've had digestive issues in the past few months and despite several physician appointments, I was only dealing with a couple of symptoms. This book has helped me to put it all together and now understand the cause. I'm finally feeling better. I highly recommend this book.Pat H.

Disappointing
The title of this book is rather misleading, as it doesn't give an actual diet to follow when trying to balance your blood PH. Although it gives good details and explanations of the body chemistry involved, which I found very interesting, I felt the second half of the book to be sadly lacking in its promise. I also thought the methods suggested to discover what sort of metabolism you have were bizarre, for example: take a 50mg tablet of niacin and see if your skin turns red & you feel hot & itchy! Then if you want to confirm this test, take 8g vitamin C a day for three days - if you feel depressed, lethargic & irritable, great! you have a meat eating metabolism!!I have to say neither of these "simple" tests appealed to me. I wanted to find a diet plan to follow that would help to balance my system and to help improve my health. I didn't find that here. Instead I found a lot of information about other people's diets and more confusion!

Good book and very informative
Good book and very informative. I learned a lot that I did not know from it. Would recommend it to someone that does not know much about Acid-Alkaline diet. I did not know much about this subject, this book made it easy to understand.

Informative nutritional book backed by science...
...after making some small diet changes I got from reading this book, I have noticed a significant increase in my energy levels. Every chapter is broken down by a particular ailment and the end of the chapter is summed up with what supplements and dietary changes are needed to increase the health of the reader. Very informative!!

Promises, promises
This book had one good concept, which was that you can't fix the acid/alkaline baalnce with certain foods, but that is all I got from the book. the rest of the recommended protocal was impractical to execute or put to use. She wants you to take your pulse to determine food allergies. She says to do this before getting out of bed in the morning, before every meal and before you go to bed at night. I think it is humanly impossible to perfectly remember this for an entire week to get the baseline established. I have been trying for two weeks, and I have yet to get one day perfect! I am extrememly dissapointed.

Excellent book for getting healthy.
I am enjoying learning about the ill effects acidic waste can have on a body, and what a person can do to correct that. I'm really impressed with Felicia Drury Kliment, who is a nutritionist and alternative health consultant. I've learned more about nutrition with this book than almost any other. If I have to go somewhere, I always grab this book, just in case I have a few minutes to read.

Detailed information
There is a lot of valuable information in this book, but quite involved. If you are very serious about balancing your diet & have a lot of time to devote to the methods involved, this would be a good choice. If you need a simplified approach, this would not be the book for you.

Very interesting book.There is no way though for me to truly verify the validity of the information here, except through experience,for example the author recommends eating raw potatoes to rebalance the gut, and suggests taking b3 vitamin as a test if you are a natural grain eater or not.Nevertheless, there's great information that I have never read elsewhere from books on holistic healing.This author blew my mind on many topics as to ways of handling different health conditions. The "supplements" section of every chapter makes a lot of sense.Any therapist in natural options for healing should seriously read this book, see for themselves if it makes sense because I'm sure they will learn a lot from this author.

Acid Alkaline Balance Diet
Loads of information on getting 'acids' out of my diet. Very informative and an easy read. Not a book set out to help lose weight, but it's a bonus because it makes you so healthy that your metabolism will work much better in getting rid of the garbage in our veins.

Bad Title
This book has good information but I was looking for a book to explain how to eat to achieve a proper PH. I also wanted a good list of what foods create acidity and which are good for you. This is not that book. Its more about being types- meat eater,grain eater, or neutral.Also its full of case histories which are interesting and surprisingly informative.Just not about PH for the most of the book.
