SpencoWomen's Orthotic Sandal Flip-Flop

I have a bone malformation in my ankles, so that my peroneal tendon just slides around instead of having a bone groove under my ankle to sit in, so I pretty much have to wear my New Balance running shoes (though I’m not allowed to run) and orthotics at all times, including indoors. But we spend our summers at the pool, and trying to wear my runners there just doesn’t work. Last year I tried Vionic flip flops, but they were too aggressive and pushed my ankle over too much, leading to a torn tendon. These are just about perfect though! I couldn’t wear them all day as the heel is just a tad too low for that (I really need a 12 mm drop and this is maybe 6, if anything at all) but the deep heel cup, firm but not hard support, excellent but not aggressive arch support, and a substantial but comfortable strap that comes well back toward the ankle, keeping the shoe in place as I walk, AND wide sizes, all add up to a totally wearable flip flop for me. I’m so excited. I just ordered two more colors! I LOVE these! They are so comfortable! They fit pretty much exactly like my New Balance 840 running shoes, which I wear a 9 wide in, and I got these in a 9 wide, and they’re perfect! I also tried a regular 9 and a regular 10, and I’m really glad they have the wide—it’s really helpful when a shoe truly fits your foot, and these feel made for me! AND they’re cute! AND come in lots of pretty colors AND I tracked down a neutral sand color on another listing too! I feel like I won the lottery. Thank you, Spenco!

I love Spenco's. I think this is my fourth pair. You have to grab them fast, in the spring, because they sell out quickly. They are shaped perfectly for my foot. The arch is just right, it is NOT ridiculously high. The toe strap is fabric; sturdy, but relatively soft. It doesn't cut into my toes. The leather "V" straps are padded with soft cushion to prevent rubbing. They always come in great colors. Have I said I love them?

I bought these flip flops for the pool and beach. They are very comfortable and run true to size. I’m a 7 wide and they fit great.

Great arch support. Loved the color. Unfortunately, not available in half sizes so I had to order up. Too big / had to immediately return. Spenco does make a great orthopedic flip flop.

I cannot purchase enough of this particular style...a bit different for the snake style the top straps are a bit tighter and more secure.. the fit for me is pefection ! I first found this brand at QVC or HSN they were the soft footbed sandal my favorite choice, this style is exactly same with a rubbery soft footbed. Please do not stop making this style love love love !!!!!

I've purchased this style and brand of shoe several times over the years, and I'm never disappointed. I have flat feet and connective tissue disease, so I need sturdy arch support and shoes that will keep their support for several months. These fit the bill every time! I wear one pair in the house and another to run errands or go to the pool. They are prettier than most shoes that my chiropractor would approve of, too!
