Met expectations
Work as intended. Easy to clean. I bought the version with the plastic cover underneath and gets a bit too warm, but doesn't seem to be a problem. Overall great product for the price.

Dangerous "high" 1800 F default startup setting when you power it on. Is this an "Infrared" cooker?
I got this for my RV Travel trailer, which is at times hooked up to shore power, but at other times my AC power comes from either my 7 kWh 24v battery system (which is huge), or off of my 2,000 watt generator. Ideally, and common sense, would dictate that it should have a default setting of low with the ability of turning it up as needed. As is, every time I turn it on I can feel the shock power surge drain to my battery and generator. That is my biggest complaint about this appliance. Minor issues but worth noting, include a problem of switching the display between watts and temperature. The "W" and "F" indicators are not control buttons but they just show whether the display is showing the watts setting or the temperature setting. In order to switch between these two you have to press the "Power/Temp" button, which doesn't just switch between the display options, it alters the setting by increasing the watts/temp setting all the way back up to the highest watt/temp setting again causing me to panic again until I can get it turned back down again. Additionally, I am also unclear as to whether the temp setting is the actual temperature readout temperature, or the desired temperature range setting. Is this cooker an induction stove, an infrared stove, a sensi-temp electric coil, or some combination of the above, and why does it matter? My answer is that I am unclear. It seems to have some combination attributes of both infrared and induction. Generally an induction cooker requires a ferrous iron metal pan to work with the magnetic field whereas an infrared burner does not require an iron pan thus you can use any type of material pot or pan. The user manual uses instructions that apply to both infrared and induction stoves. Usable pans: "All flat bottom pans; Please use iron pot, containing magnetic pot." Warnings: #21 "Do not [use] the INFRARED cooker on [an] iron, stainless steel, aluminum [or] other metal [tabletop or counter], because the action of [the] magnetic field line will cause [the] heating surface [to] burn out the bottom of the INDUCTION cooker." (poor manual instruction English corrected by the reviewer.) Why it matters: If it is a sensi-temp range coil, it would melt the plastic and burn the countertop if it is wood, formica, or quartz engineered stone, so it's not that. If it has an induction element then the magnetic field can impact a heart implant pacemaker; and it would be mandatory to use an iron pot or pan. It would not be possible to use on a metal stainless steel surface because it would interfere with the magnetic element. If it is infrared alone it is ok to be used by people with pacemakers, you would be able to use any material pot or pan with it, and you would be able to use it on a stainless steel table/ countertop but there would be no warning against it in the manual. The user manual suggests that it is both part induction and part infrared, but the non-disclosure is a little disconcerting. It is akin to buying food without the ingredients being listed on the package. There is no warning against pacemakers, and there is no suggestion as to what the material of the counter/ tabletop to use. I use a pizzastone that is not wood to burn, plastic to melt, nor metal to interfere.

Amazing
Needed a New Hot plate to cook on. Bought a Duel Burner one a few years back and it takes so long to boil water on it and little small to put my big pot on to boil water. I've not used this one with my big pot yet, But my regular pot 6 Cup one it brought water to a boil in no time flat. Only issue I have with this one, is the texture of the glass on the underside where the numbers are. It makes it difficult to read the numbers, makes them look blurry. Other than that, Works GREAT. Love it, Highly recommend. It goes all the way to 1800w, I don't keep it plugged in, I store it away and grab it when I need to use it. I use it on F, 395f works excellent for bacon and eggs, and higher for boiling water.
