My 2 black labs are seatbelted in the car with crash tested Drive harnesses. They manage to tangle themselves up in the seatbelt when the belt is pulled through the handles, plus they lock up the seatbelt. The harness will only be as strong as the carabiner used. Opted to go for a rock climbing carabiner. Rather lightweight and well made, very happy with my choice.

I inspected two AINIKEY asymmetric D auto-lock gate carabiners (pictured) and found no flaws. Form and finish are flawless. Auto-lock gates operate smoothly and lock positively.Measured dimensions matched those in the listing (see picture relative to pen). Measured weight of each carabiner was 2.12 ounces (60 grams), which is less than the listed weight of 2.3 ounces.The AINIKEY carabiners are rated at 25 kilonewtons (kN) along the major axis (end to end) with the gate closed, meaning they are rated to hold 5,625 static pounds. Note, when a climber falls the dynamic force applied to the arresting carabiner greatly exceeds their body weight. However even a hard climbing fall isn't likely to much exceed a dynamic force of 6 kN so these carabiners offer a large safety factor based on their rating.All indications are these are good quality carabiners. I'll use them when working in the rigging on my sailboat, among other applications.

I would consider these medium to small sized carabiners, definitely not large sized. Great little carabiners though. Action works very smooth out of the box, just a little sloppier that more expensive carabiners. They are rated at 25kn, good enough for a one man load. For the money they are good enough to throw into my gear bag, I'll trust them for now, we'll see how they hold up.

Overall these are good quality. Machining is very well done, tolerances are relatively tight, and the locking mechanisms are smooth with a good spring action. We needed some for holding/suspending saws & other tools for work. I cannot confirm the max rating on these as I haven't fully tested, but I put a 200 lb static load on one and it held it just fine with little to no deflection or binding of the gate latch. Black Diamond and Petzel do have some manufacturing in Asia, but only you can determine if you would trust your life to an unbranded Amazon carabiner without testing it.
