Shout out to chatgpt for helping me figure out some skin issues and recommending this product because I did not know it existed. I wish I would have know 10..15 years ago but I'm guessing it would have been a lot more difficult if not impossible to find.Anyway... this is definitely the superior exfoliant for me. It feels almost oily going on but then it feels like it is drawing moisture to the skin. It then absorbs and has helped make my skin so soft, brighter, and has helped reduce and make more removable dark keratin plugs I am prone to on my chin.I initially had a bit of sensitivity and if I use it too many nights in a row my skin might get a bit more dry and sensitive but it is so gentle compared to other products while giving great results. I used AHA for years and while it made my skin soft and helped with breakouts, it stung a lot and caused a lot of redness.I won't be without this now. It's amazing.

I LOVE this. This mandellic acid has helped my skin sooo much. I’ve been struggling with hormonal issues and have been breaking out almost everyday. This has helped my skin texture and helps my breakouts. Make sure you moisturize though because although it is a gentle chemical exfoliant, eventually it will make your skin peel if you use it too often. I try to use it a few days a week and always use retinol the night after using this to turn over the newly exfoliated skin. My skin isn’t perfect now but it’s getting there!

I wish I took before photo!Didn’t think results would be this impressive.I touch my skin more frequently now because it feels baby soft & smooth I’m serious lol30 yrs been struggling w/ oily skin, large clogged pores, uneven texture, no glow, no confidence to leave face bare in public—I feel much better now, hoping after long term use I can feel better in minimal to zero face makeup.Under $8 but results noticed very next day after face washing.Results: smoothness, softness, brighteningI am not new to this brand. Owned & tried about 10 products, this one is the best so far for my problem areas w/o breaking me out or cause more oiliness.Within the first wk, saw skin was very much improved & brightened.I always wear foundation to hide blemishes & acne scars, but now feel more confident w/ bare face.It seemed to make my pores less noticeable too.1st night was the only time I felt minor itchiness n tingling at sides of my cheeks, not bad, have since adjusted to product.Remember sunscreen since it is an acid.Tried on my 80+y/o mother who has delicate sensitive skin—she didn’t have sensitivity to it first use—also noticed brightening effects after few uses. Her skin is nice already but tone is darkened, this product evened it out & seems to make skin glow naturally.I also recommend their retinol product—their page lists which retinol strength is suitable for you!Layered this acid with retinol & no negative side effects to report—will continue to use.Highly recommend!

The Ordinary’s Mandelic acid formula seemed a bit oily/slick at first, but it still works pretty well. I wouldn’t use it for daily use, but it works well for 2-4 times a week (maybe every other day). It doesn’t cause lots of visible peeling, which is good for me, but does cause a very slight tingly burn so you know it is working.I think the 5% Lactic Acid formula with HA is slightly better in general, and makes the skin nice and soft, and less dry. But, this one is pretty good too. Be careful if using more than one irritating/acid based product at a time. (If you use one on a given day, don’t use the other.)

I'm blown away by this product. I used it last night for the first time and today while doing my skin routine, I noticed the results immediately. After only 1 use, my face is noticeably clearer, feels cleaner, and nearly all of my most stubborn pores aren't even visible anymore. The ones that are visible aren't dark. Also, I didn't have any sensitivity to the product which I was pleasantly surprised by. Very happy! I will be purchasing this again.

MAY 2020: I am disappointed in this product a bit. I've used acids in the past with great results. I bought this with the intention to add it to my night routine for smoothing and resurfacing texture in my skin. But I find the the consistency to not layer well with my other serums. This has an oil like feeling that causes my hyaluronic acid serum (also from The Ordinary) to roll really badly. I have to almost pat this in completely to even make it work which takes up a ton of time. I usually like to feel a bit of a tingle when applying acids, but with this I feel nothing at all. I think Id have better luck with the lactic acid serum from The Ordinary for night time. I also experienced a breakout after the second night of using this product. I cannot say if it was the product that caused it or my own hormones. All in all I give this product a 3 star rating because I haven't used it long enough to feel or see a difference, but so far am not impressed with its texture.*UPDATE* July 2020This stuff is way better than I originally thought, it just needs time to work! My overall texture and tone has much improved. I pair it exclusively with Rosehip seed oil. I included a photo with no makeup

Love how this is making my skin glow when I wake up in the morning. I use at night to help with tone and texture and keep waking up with a glow!
