How much garlic is in these? I read garlic has a toxicity for dogs.

I am not sure why I was sent  your question to answer - since I lost my sweet girl in 2014,she was 16 years old. Prior to giving her brewers yeast or anything else, I always sought the advice of her vet. What I can tell is upon the approval of her vet, I administered brewers yeast tablets, according to the manufacturers recommendation,  every day of her life, starting when she was 9 months old .  Never once did she have a problem. But if you have a question about you own dog, then I suggest you speak with your vet.

I wish to give this to my cats as well as dogs.  Is is soft enough for cats to chew?  Thanks.

Question 3

How effective is this against fleas in Southern California? (Our winters are not cold enough to wipe out the flea population, so flea problem is bad.)

I cannot answer that honestly because I have never lived in Southern California.  All I can tell you is that we give our little dog less than 5 lbs. in weight 1 brewer's yeast tablet 3 times and day plus he gets a drop of flea killer on the back of his neck because we had a flea infestation in our house last year and don't want that to happen again.  I buy the OTC flea medication at Sam's Club and use both here.  We have cold winters but some are not cold enough to even kill the cold and flu virus so I would use both in your area as well to be better protected.  We don't give him prescription heartworm meds because of so many bad side effects, but we do the OTC flea meds on the back of his neck and 3 brewer's yeast tablets (1 for every 5 lbs. in weight of your dogs), 3 times a day.  He doesn't weigh much so he gets one brewer's yeast tablet 3 times per day and the flea medication on the back of the neck once every 3 or 4 months, depending on how long before we see flea eggs again.

Question 4

My bottle's main label says "garlic flavoring" but the ingredients list garlic.  Is there really garlic in this product?

Garlic is part of the Allium family (onion is in that family as well). It is poisonous cooked and raw. Please be careful with feeding that to your dog because it can damage their red blood cells. Dogs love it because it’s palatable, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for them.
