How I'd design my own basic surge-protecting power strip
Caught my eye, as the recipient was still using an ancient Korean power brick from the '80s, literally the size and shape of a masonry brick, 4 outlets (tho full marks for lasting 40 yrs in service w/o failing). Never going to see that again, in the modern era of fly-by-night, petulant, cynically-engineered Sino-tech-stuffed marketplaces...But that's not this product. It's 1/4 the weight, 1/3 the height, 1" longer & ~same width... but has 1280j surge protection (vs. analog-fused -- non-replaceable w/o disassembly :/)... 6 outlets (two spaced out further for inevitable needlessly-bulky power adapters), 2 smart USB-A + one smart USB-C, charging ports. It also has a flat plug -- which should be de rigeur for *all* power strips meant to live in crowded jungles of cord behind space-at-premium cubicle desks...Now, the Apple power adapter the recipient needs to charge her tablet with, no longer has its cord touching the top of the space it's stuffed in, so less cord damage on an under-engineered (and expensive) cord, when you need to tote it. Don't have to worry about 80's-vintage technology turning to scalding smoke next to recipient's leg, nor if she forgets her charger, since charging ports are built-in.The 6.6-ft cord is a bit long for our use case but may be just right for others' (more is merrier when it comes to cord length imo... until you need to lug it around in your carry-on). Bought devoted travel chargers for that, so this stays in the office, where it fits right in.Would buy again :)

Once again, Anker gets it right
This is a simple surge suppressor - with extra USB ports. All six outlets are spaced far enough apart to accommodate wall warts, with two of them being a bit farther off. This means they can also accommodate many smart plug attachments.I bought two, thinking that I would use one for travelling - and with the pandemic restrictions being let up a bit here in Washington, travel is easier - but finding a hotel room with a lot of outlets is not so easy, so I'm thinking that I did the right thing here. =)Surge suppression rating is 1280 J - this is a number you want higher. I'm waiting for words back on the clamping voltage, and I expect it should be less than 400V since Anker is not known to screw around.A point of note - I have not actually tested this. This is for the same reason you do not test your home/renter's/automotive/whatever insurance policy. This thing is supposed to act as a barrier against overvoltage or power surges - you don't want those hitting you and you definitely don't want to test for one. Let the gang at UL do that for you.All in all, if you need a power strip that will do the job, I highly recommend this one on the basis that Anker made it, it is a proper surge suppressor as well, and the six outlets.

What's not to like?
This plugin I got it when it was under sale what a huge deal because I mean it's anker you can't go wrong with their technology that protective and the material and quality is just really nice overall I would say very sturdy you can definitely have a piece of mind when you have this and it's also capable of a lot of things it can bring out a lot of juice or power even for air conditioners that take a lot of currents also at the same time it has surge and overwork protection which is a huge deal if you care about safety and the plug is designed where there are gaps in between the plug-ins so that way your charging bricks won't feel like it's being squeezed against each other it leaves some room in between which means you can put all sorts of bricks in there where with regular plug-ins some of them aren't build that well and it leaves no room for other charging bricks which is stupid when there is space but just aren't enough.

Works great under my desk
I have it attached to the bottom of my desk top. It retains all of the heavy plugs without issue. Only complaint is spacing, the giant plugs can’t be put together.

Premium power strip
This is pretty much a really well made surge protector power strip. Made with very nice feeling plastic, well made construction, and soft feel power cord.So far nothing exploded so it must be working. My only negative for this is the angled power head. This is a really nice design for most use cases but for me this blocked me from connecting to the wall, due to having a ethernet over power box below it. A very unfortunate moment so im not docking any point because it works everywhere else.

Big foot print for small set of outlets
I bought this model because of the USB A and C connections. The regular outlets are spaced far enough apart that they fit almost any sort of plug orientation. However, it would be nice to have a couple more outlets available because 6 spots filled up fast.

Perfect.
Why buy a stupid apple brick for your usb c cord when you can buy this for your usb c charging cord and have so much more.I have my iPhone and Apple Watch combo charger hooked to this devices usb c port and it works perfect. So I saved money not buying a usb c brick to standard plug. And now my kindle charges on the usb a port. And my hydraulic bed is connected to the strip.I am so thankful the blue light isn’t strong as well. The last power strip I had produced so much light from the “on light” it was terrible. So anyways this sucker is perfect for my needs.

High Quality Power Strip
This power strip is built well, looks high quality. However, it's bulky and heavy. I don't think it's very good for travelling.
