TAKENAKA Bento Bite Dual from, Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Japanese Style Bento Lunch Box (Tangerine Orange)

I was hesitant to buy a bento box for my work lunches. It seemed silly - and expensive. A crazy expensive piece of tupperware. But I've really enjoyed it. I like the three sections (two in the larger one and one at the bottom. Nothing has leaked - not even a very wet eggplant salad. It's pretty.I really like that the divider in the larger section is removable and moves. The plastic lid for the lower sections makes it relatively leak proof. You absolutely need to use the rubber band (I bought extras after I misplaced it.) I pack it in a regular insulated lunchbox with a cool block. I also pack a cloth napkin because I find I really want a place mat to make the dining - even on my work table - a little nicer. You can use only the top or the bottom if you have a smaller lunch.No regrets. I miss it every time I don't bring it in for one reason or another.

The color and material is really great. It’s worth noting that this product is not dishwasher safe and microwaving is possible but not for more than two minutes. This bento box is also not watertight. The product description says all these things but if you skipped that or don’t take it seriously your going to ruin the product or whatever bag you throw it into. I really love the size of it though and it’s perfect for my needs. I’d recommend this to anyone who prefers cold lunches because I think it shines better in that aspect.

I received this today. I am delighted by the highquality materials and craftsmanship. The lemonzest color is very cheery. Love!In the future,I will use this on a picnic. Until then,I am using this to organize the refrigerator of aone adult home. The top fits six eggs or adouble butter. The bottom fits miscellaneoussalsa packs. I most likely will buy a secondset because I think I can stack the boxesand further maximize my fridge space.Update: I ordered a second bento andI love it along with the first. A box fromthe second set does NOT stack wellatop the first, however. In other words,two sets do not quite combine like Legos.One tower of 3 or 4 boxes is not possible.I am super happy with both sets, regardless.

Bought the Bite Dual for my fiance, who was dissatisfied with his previous lunchbox compartment space. He is extremely happy with the Bite Dual's compartment sizes, although he doesn't use the divider insert very often. The Bite Dual has been easy to keep clean, the surface seems to resist staining and sticking, which is great! Like others, he prefers to use a stainless steel fork instead of the accompanying plastic one, but that's not a deal-breaker. The stretchy band holds the top and bottom compartments firmly together, but it's unclear whether it will stretch out with use and lose some of its tension. For now, it springs back to its normal shape after being stretched, which is a good sign.He was also delighted by the color (tangerine)! So nice to find items in bright, fun colors instead of drab and desaturated tones. Altogether we have found this item to be a great combo of form and function.

Pros: Beautiful to behold, appreciate portions, and easy to use. Cons: The bottom leaks, it’s slippery to hold, will crack if you drop it.

This is a great way to bring lunch to the office. I can separate the cold bits from the hot. The divider is for the top compartment only and it comes with a spork! Great quality. So handy that it's microwave and dishwasher safe.

Loved color & dividers.

I really wanted to like this bento box because of its slick and beautiful design. However, it’s definitely not worth the price. It’s say microwave safe but when you microwave your food it stains the box and it doesn’t fit properly any longer. Therefore, I would pay for a cheaper bento boxes or simply get the prexy glass bento boxes for the price I paid for this one.

At first I thought the bento box was a bit smaller than what I had hoped for, but it turns out that it was able to pack a lot of food into it. I was able to pack 2 pieces of salmon in the smaller compartment, and half a cup of quinoa in the bigger compartment, as well as egg rolls I made.The quality of the bento box is very good, as you can feel it just by touching the material. Also the color is exactly as the picture is shown which is really nice.It's also nice that it comes with the strap to keep everything together, and the fork is useful enough to not need other utensils so far.Hopefully this will keep me motivated to make lunches and eat healthier, while saving money over time by not having to go out and buy lunches every day at work.

It has so much space for sandwiches and sushi. I love this . This is a must have. Plus I love the vibrant colour and the good quality.
