Have been wanting similar knives for a long time but didn't purchase because of the high cost. Decided to invest in this set because the price was so attractive. Wasn't sure what I would get. As it turned out, the set was excellent and exceeded expectations. Sturdy. Beautiful design. Sharp. Excellent finish. And just plain cool. You won't be disappointed.

really nice cleaver set. really well made and beautiful just do not put them in a dishwasher!!! hand wash and coat every once in a while with a food grade knife oil and you will have a knife that will last for years and years. really nice weight and cuts through anything even bones without any deformation or rolling. easy to sharpen when needed and overall nice product

Both blades sharp and have good weight. The meat cleaver's handle was a bit loose and rattles when you shake it. other than that great combo set for the price.

These are sharp knives, they are thick and heavy steel and look quite robust. Once you start using them though, you'll notice that the quality just isn't there. I guess you can't expect much when you're paying $24 for a set of two heavy knives like these.After a single, light use in the kitchen, the handle has started to loosen up -- this should not happen in any knives like these as it can be dangerous if something like this slips out of your hand when you're butchering something in the kitchen.The steel seems like it's adequate quality, I'm not too fond of the black design -- it honestly seems like it's painted on and then was sanded off.Overall, you can skip these. They might be a steal and very cheap at $24 but the quality isn't there and when you're doing the kind of work that requires heavy duty knives like these, you want something high quality that feels secure in your hand!

These chef knives came well packaged, with plastic protection guards to make sure you don't cut yourself when unboxing them. That is a very appreciated detail. They look absolutely amazing, but during cleaning it's a little extra work to get into the grooves to get a proper clean and disinfect. They are extremely sharp and have made cutting big hunks of sirloin steak into think strips effortless. Chops through chicken wing bones like cutter, veggies are even more effortless. Overall, the quality for this price point is impressive.

This set of meat cleaver is very sharp, easy to hold and use. Its shape is similar to Chinese knife so I think it’s a good alternative. The weight is acceptable and it’s not heavy for a woman to hold.

Someone at my house misplaced my butcher's knife. I know that sounds odd, but I think it may have actually been thrown out during a little BBQ cleanup.Anyway, this butcher knife and cleaver set are right up my alley. The unique patterns remind me a bit of Damascus blades but they are animal patterned.The blades arrive incredibly well-sharpened and only need to be cleaned before use. They are well balanced and feel nice in-hand. I don't have a single complaint about these beauties!

I like trying different knives and cleavers and have tons in my kitchen. These cleavers looked gimmicky upon arrival but actually feel good to hold. They are heavy enough to work through poultry bones and are also sharp enough for slicing. My only complaints are that they arrived with burrs on the blade edge but that was easy remedied with a steel. Also the ends of the wooden handles are chipped. It doesn't affect performance and may on par for the price. They are still a nice set to have and perform well.
