The tie is wide, so not really mobster tie. But at this price if your a 'make do and mend' person, it's easy enough to unstitch and restitch as a thin tie

I bought it for my husband for a 1920's themed party, and it's small for him (even for me a little). It's also not the best quality hat, but it should be ok for one time use.
